Evans has looked great. Kudos to him for stepping up.

2 HUGE Ks by Evans to get out of that. Glad that was an unearned run. 12 Ks, 0 walks, 2 hits, no earned runs through 6. I’ll take it.

Fine. Swing and a miss for an out. Are you really going to tell me he’s a good defensive catcher? Even an average defensive catcher?

I wonder what a Cam Johnson bullpen looks like.

Need the offense to produce.

Haven’t done much besides taking free passes.

Look out if Casan keeps this up, Moore is going to be a solid #2. Then Schmidt closing things out on game 3. That rotation could be filthy

He do you feel about York?

I don’t get too worked up about shite, especially if we are ahead

He has the 2nd highest OB% although he has some terrible ABs

I’m not sure I’d trust anyone else at 1st, although I wouldn’t mind seeing Yamin getting a chance midweek

We still complaining about the shift I see?

Are you still defending the shift that, on average, doesn't work out in the defense's favor?

I never said anything about his defense. I just pointed out he didn’t drop the ball.

Surely all the best coaches in America just shift for the hell of it...cmon man. Yes the shift gets you burnt sometimes but it overall helps

I accept that we have played our way outside the top 25 but if OU is a top 8 team then I feel a lot better about our chances to rebound and make a run this year!

Baseball movies always have that fat 1B or C that’s such a feel good story. Yorke is proof that shite doesn’t happen in real life.

Yorke reminds me of the scene at the end of “Moneyball” when they’re watching the film of the 400 lb catcher. He hits a deep drive and is hustling around the bag when he bellyflops. The 1B coach walks over and taps him on the shoulder, tells him to get up and finish his trot. The ball went over the fence.
