They're not leaving an undefeated ND out of the playoffs. Sorry to say.
It's probably more political than anything else but that's the reality.

LSU 13-0 SEC champs
UGA 12-1
Bama 11-1
Clemson 13-0
Texas 11-2 Big 12 champs
Notre Dame 11-1
Oklahoma 12-1
Oregon 12-1
Ohio State 11-2 Big 10 champs
Besides Clemson (obviously on the playoff), who else jumps the gumps and dawgs?

Another reason to run up the score on A&M.

LSU loses close game to Bama, destroys everyone else
Bama goes undefeated, loses to uga in SEC-C
Georgia drops a weird regular season SEC game but wins sec-c
All 11-1. Who goes to CFP?
If you don't get to play for your conference championship, then you shouldn't play for the national championship when there are only 4 spots.
Right now, it appears Clemson and Ohio State will cruise through their schedules unscathed. That leaves two spots.
Only teams in their conference title games should be considered from there.

Heard that on 640AM while driving just west of Fort Worth (that Station has an amazing signal).
Put a huge smile on my face.
It’s a great year to be an LSU fan.

I don’t get this. I’m not an Irish fan by any stretch but if them beating UGA even potentially helps LSU, I’m pulling for them hard.

Lol the only way three SEC teams get in is if LSU is the 13-0 SEC champion who already beat Alabama and Georgia and has to beat them both again.

LSU loses close game to Bama

Georgia.
Georgia beat Bama who beat LSU.
LSU and UGA don't play each other in that scenario.
Stop.
Alabama is automatically in unlessthey lose TWO games. PERIOD.

Tramel is a real major OU homer but he has always given credit where it's due and been fair to other teams.
A day after the LSU-OhSt NCG, he wrote a very a very nice piece on Les Miles, saying the reasons why both OU and OSU fans hate him- but that they really should all be thankful for those few years he spent at OkSt (especially the Pokes fans).
At the time, no other Oklahoma sportswriter would have dared to praise Miles for any reason.

We would have to win the next 3 games by 40-50 points each, beat Florida, Auburn Texas A&m each by 10 points each, and beat Ole Miss and Arky by 30-40 points. If we lose to Bama in an epic game , and Ohio state loses 1 and Texas beats Oklahoma, Georgia needs to beat Notre Dame. We might make the 4th playoff spot.

Agree 100% that would be ridiculous and not good for college football in general

Only room for one SEC team this year.
There's no reason to be so sure
I don't think both Oklahoma and Ohio State goes undefeated, which is the only way they hold out a 12-1(11-1) LSU or UGA

Truth. Bama is one team that’ll always be in unless it loses two games. Doesn’t even need to win it’s division.
