Life is about making memories.
Not many , if any, lay on their death bed wishing they’d skipped happiness in favor of prudence for prudence sake.
Sounds like you and North raised your families and met your responsibilities and loved your wives throughout.
That’s the legacy of any man, not an extra $2000 to divide up after dad is gone.
Go make memories.
This is meaningful.
Very very good advice.
I had a massive heart attack a couple months after I turned 50 and my wife was diagnosed with uterine cancer two months later. We both somehow survived but after she went into remission and my 5 bypasses we decided to freaking take a year and do nothing but travel together. RAPED the retirement account and told the bar association "I'm completely done, shove this suicide license..." but we covered a lot of the globe in 13 months.
Best thing we ever did. Together.

This shite right here should be put into text books.
Thank you, sir.

So many great things about this post. Have a great time and I'll be looking for your sign in the Dome.

+1 on the ending. Besides, pictures of your wife shouldn't be a common request by anyone but.... this is the RANT. WE party hard and play hard. It's the only way! Have fun at the game. My suggestion is to bring a bunch of cash and get a great deal b/f game time. If you do that have the tickets authenticated. There are various ways to do this. Buy them now and you will need to pony up. Your call. Will be there w you with our party of 8 (all family from Fargo, ND; BR, La., Austin, TX, and Houston, TX). We're staying at AirB&B in garden district near French Qtr. We get tickets it's a BONUS.
Geaux Tigers!

You should just go. We are old. You may never be this close to an event involving your team again.
Your hesitation will haunt you. I promise.
THIS! Would you rather regret pissing away some money on a loss or not going and missing an LSU win?
I know sticking to that budget is important, but you only live once and this is an exception to the rule.
