10 years and some programs don't have a bona fide QB?

all it takes is 2-3 misses in recruiting to get there

FSU had chris rix for 4 years, then jesus, then the kind of hit with ponder

Miami has been a shite show. they've had wright, freman, berlin, jacory harris, marve etc since dorsey has left

Texas "missed' with gilbert. UF "missed" with brantley (losing cam didn't help) and they tumbled

I don't agree with this statement. Lee was not horrible. Even in his freshman season Lee showed the ability to come back from behind (Auburn, Troy) and bailed LSU out numerous times last year and for the most part had very solid play this year. Now JJ on the other hand was a horrible QB.

at what point in 2011 (his best) did you not feel he was very limited?

People dont give the 06 schedule enough props....4 top 10 teams on the road thats a schedule that rivals this years and we should have been 3-1 even with the stick up their arse offensive playcalling if pass interfence had been called.

Only one game, 11/5. Other than that I thought he was very solid. Not great by any means, but solid.

Why do you capitalize some words in your sentences, but never the first word of your sentence?

lots of mediocre-bad QBs can look solid if our running game is destroying teams

Maybe so,but JL had way more average games than horrible games. JJ had PLENTY of horrible games and very few average games.

It is truly amazing that the program didn't sink in these last 4 years of really poor qb play. The program has actually gotten stronger overall from the end of '08 on.

If we can just make some offensive adjustments and rely on throwing a little more next year and I expect the defense to be as strong as they have been, look out.

Great post sfp

True, but you can't deny that the offense just seemed to click better with JL under center. Anyway, I don't want to turn your OP which I agree with into another JJ/JL thread.

First game. Not saying that to flame, but if you look at his passes he was still throwing off his back foot. One of the results of this are high pases. I believe one of his first few passes he was way high to a WR. Yes, they were completed but didn't allow for yards after the catch.

i agree completely slow. I have hope that miles wont find himself married to another player like he was with jj because miles has learned from the past and corrected situations. I hope the trend continues. It is amazing we went 24-3 the last 2 years with what we had at qb.
