quote:I read in the transcript of one of his interviews where he actually said this almost verbatim...he really thought we would come from behind and win in the 4th quarter by just keeping it close. He went on to take the full cred for it, apologized to the fans and said he will fix this.
It seems as if Miles has grown accustomed to low scoring affairs. THey seem to gameplan towards that end. By not operating this offense at full throttle on every down, they are limiting the potential.

a loss would be a lot easier to swallow if you could sit there and say we opened it up, gave it our all, and lost.
it just seems like we are leaving plays on the field.
I don't agree with that LE. If we open up JJ it might be easier to take the loss. Or we might get JL version II, which I think is much more likely. JJ is not ready, just like JL wasn't ready last year. They open it up and you probably see a repeat of last years 30 pt loss, would that be easier.
The main reason I'd like to see JL some, is that he was in the fire last year against some good D's and took his lumps. But, he was never given a chance to show if he learned from that this year.
JJ came in late last year, did some good and bad. Immediately he was labeled this years starter. I didn't have a huge problem with that, but at this point JJ is having struggles.
I think the coaches missed the boat earlier in the season. When we played Vandy and ULL they should have given JL a series along the way to see if he could do a better job moving the team. They choose not to do that.
I said it before the season and I still stick to it. Somewhere in this season, JL will be called upon to lead this team. Can he do it? I don't know.
I'll say this, something about JL makes me think he'll do something good if given the chance.
And I don't want to put JJ down. I think he has skills and can be a good QB. He's just not ready yet, not even close.
