Ok Ensminger is sending a msg to either Burrows or our tri-fecta of QB's in our stables.

“Competition breeds excellence.”
Come compete to be the best right here at LSU"

Well either he is calling out Burrows for not wanting to compete for a position, or he is telling our current QB's to suck it up and quit whining and compete.

Or maybe, just maybe, he is using for general recruiting purposes for future QB’s seeing that is what the coaches are out on the road doing right now.

Plus it is a pretty smart response to some of the recent public criticism that has been made about LSU qb situation, both current and past (e.g. McElroy’s comments).

Geez you people read way too much into social media stuff.

Probably all of the above

The better the competition, the better the outcome

At least he is using LSU players, some that he coached.

Unlike Jimbo who used FSU players on a post for A&M. AND a player he never coached while HC (a DB)

The tweet was sent out in response to Greg McElroy. McElroy said that it would be nice if LSU could have a decent qb in his lifetime. That was LSU’s response

I get what Ensminger was trying to convey but it kind of backfired. Yeah all those QBs got drafted and were pretty good in college but they were all pretty terrible or mediocre in the NFL. He got killed in the Twitter comments on that post.

He didn’t say or intend that they were all pros
They got drafted and got paid.

That’s point

Exactly. Most of the 4 and 5 star players goto college with an opportunity to get to the NFL in mind. What happens after that isn't on the college they played for IMO. College coaches get paid to win football games, not be a farm system for the NFL.

He should tweet "if you're scared, you re scared. We need leaders who live to compete and that's which players end up at LSU in August"

Was just about to post this.
Coach O has Derek working around the clock sniffing out any bad PR.

You think Joe Burrow wants to come to a place where people can't even spell his name?

I think not.

Once they are drafted and in the NFL, LSU has done their job and all they can do for that individual. It's up to them and their NFL team to progress them from there.

If hes shallow enough to make a decision on someone misspelling his name, then hes not what we need as a leader

"Come" would imply he's not referring to our tri-fecta of qbs unless E's understanding of the English language is on par with the avg ranter.

He was roasted by a bunch of armchair quarterbacks. But I think the high school players will respond well to this.
