No reason why he should be higher at this point. He'll have to prove himself.

I don't think the SEC has ever had this many mediocre coaches. It's Nick Saban and everyone else.

Just looking at that list, what coaches would you take over O?

Saban
Mullen
Malzahn

That's it.

That's about where he should be. Basically a position coach being the face of the program. As long as the coordinators stay, he'll be fine

". As long as the coordinators stay, he'll be fine..".

So in NTPs case, he knows everything about their O--& calls all the plays...........Good to know that.....

Looks to me NTP is just a better CEO than others....??????

In other words, EO should have been given more credit for getting Canada here--& keeping Aranda...ie he should have been higher up the totem pole....

Well since he hasn't coached a down of LSU football since becoming HC I would say this is fair and I'm sure they also know this could change drastically even during the season but for now they will not give him anything which is understandable. His last stint didn't go so well and O knows it. Now there would be a serious issue if he thought he did a fine job at OM then just blamed the program for his failures which isn't the case so.

I would not take either of those dudes over Orgeron. I'll take my chances with CEO. I understand the ranking because he's unproven, but he'll pass them up in short order

Yep.

IMHO, for Tiger fans only, it's "trust but verify"... which can be tweaked for the situation to "believe but prove" or "have faith but not convinced".

No, he has proven to be a failure at his last head coaching gig.

Every single sec head coach has a better resume than O. Every single coordinator in the sec has a better resume than O.

both of those coaches have proven they can run a successful side of the ball and proven they can run a successful program.
Ed Orgeron has never,in his entire life, done either.

Mullen would slay at LSU.

I don't know why LSU fans can't see that.

Then you are an idiot. Dan Mullen is the most underrated football coach in America because he is stuck at a school he has zero chance of winning a championship at. If he was not already making 4.5 million a year at MSU, he would of been snatched up so fast it's not funny.

We were stupid for not even offering him the job. He would win several championships at LSU because he would give us the one thing that has been holding us back. A viable QB.

And you are just hoping he goes 4-8... you are proving you are not a fan of O since he did such a good job last year.... you have done nothing but bash him since he was hired. You are a bandwagon fan who has never set foot on the campus....

He's won as interim at two major programs but he's got to win on the field as the permanent HC to garner the respect from other coaches
