That is on Johnny not putting more emphasis on rim protection. Outside of Simmons, there has been next to nothing in emphasis in that area in the last 2 recruiting classes. Reath looks useless in this area, and guys in previous classes like Elbert have been a total flameout.

I don't think any of the assistants would want the challenge of coaching a low iq basketball team

All coaches responsibilities the team has plenty talent we just have no coach. He will be fired in the next day or two so I guess your prediction that he's coming back next year was wrong just like your assessment of the teams talent and IQ.

I've watched every game this year, and this has been extremely hard to do as someone who loves basketball and has been playing since I could dribble a ball

The only thing you'll miss is the chance of this opponent pushing 90 again.

You are taught this in middle school. You are taught about passing lanes in midfle school No coach at the college level should have to teach a college basketball player how to properly box out, throw a pass, or shoot a free throw.

Look we get it, you hate JJ, but its clear you've never played basketball past park ball, if you think college coaches are teaching those things.

And if the player can't do that, it's up to JJ to either not recruit them or not play them. It's all about what you place importance on.

Coach K cant win with these guys. Over 10 turnovers already, lazy rotating on defense, and why are guards still outrebounding our bigs. SMH

You clearly don't understand the value of a coach ( or any leader, for that matter).

Players will do what is demanded by their coach. If a coach demands hustle and intensity, he'll get it. If he demands precise, crisp passes, he'll get it. If he doesn't demand it and doesn't follow through with consequences for players that don't give it to him, he'll just keep getting the same bad, lazy play.

This is 100% coaching, my friend.

Hope Patterson leaves with Jones. He had a promising freshman year and has regressed since.

Our "offense" is a joke. Three weave passes up top and then a ball screen. And then literally nothing else. Nothing.

They could install that "offense" in 5 minutes on the first day of practice. Seriously, what do they do in practice?

It's been apparent for a few years now that Johnny just rolls the ball out there and let's them play 5 on 5 for a couple hours each day

The kids a freshman coming over to much tougher competition.
With good coaching I see promise.
