Look JL was a freshmen when he threw those picks. IT can't get any worse than what is it right now.

If your goal is to be competitive and settle for 3 or 4 losses, then JJ's stat padding, confused, but conservative play will get the job done.

If you want to spread the D out some and give yourself a chance at greatness in exchange for a chance at losing 6 games, then JL is worth another look.

If I were les, I'd let JL know that if he throws a pick6, he's out for the game. JL will prevent teams from stacking the box against us so much abd this could open our running game up some more

To be fair, I think JJ would be mire effective if we ran RS to the outside more often.

I am not convinced that JJ was begging for support. You might relax a bit on the Tiger faithful. They will cheer when JJ does well, and moan when he fails, just like everywhere else.

QB choices:

1. JJ looks pretty darn bad. I don't go to the practices, so I don't see the whole picture, but the game day results are not encouraging.

2. JL has not done a lot on the field to inspire confidence. As above, I don't know what he is doing in practice, but if he is the next best option, I don't like LSU to finish anyplace better than #5 in the SEC West.

3. The 3rd string guy doesn't get much talk from the coaches, so I guess he isn't really an option. I am not sure why that is true. Maybe they don't like him, maybe he is too young, maybe he is bad...

4. Open try-outs for QB. LSU has almost 30,000 students. I bet one of them can play QB.

jl has worked hard, staying late to work with his rec's and losing 30 pounds. I think he has earned a 2nd chance. I made the switch after watching the spring game.

+1

JJ has a much lower ceiling and and much lower floor. Personally I'd rather take the chance to be something special than be assured of 7 to 9 wins and a bowl. I think this year we will really see if Les is truly a "gambler" or not.

I must have missed the part where JJ was a "highly-sought-after QB recruit"

meh. As been pointed out on other occasions lately, hes way off his game.

Trying to defend JJ has dropped him significantly on the "posters with good insight" list. JustMe appears to be more about saving face, than facing facts. Its really pretty distasteful at this point.

The whole he had a bad game, its gonna be OK schtick. Never heard that from him (or others) after LaTech.

He took a stand, which now appears foolish, but cannot bring himself to admit that he might have been wrong. Its the tired, old, elitist attitude, that no matter the realities "I am right, because I am superior" attitude.

And he thinks hes witty with it. Hes not
