Garza just got drafted by the Royals in round 32

Garza would be foolish to sign. He can make A LOT of $ by coming back.

Idk. I kind of disagree with this. There is something to be said for the consistent outings Trent brings to the table. He has been a pretty big part of the bullpen this year.
100% agree, man. There were a few Fridays that he came in for Hess and ate up some innings to save the bullpen for the rest of the weekend. I think he’s quietly been one of the unsung heroes out of our bullpen this year.

Thanks for your efforts.
A little housekeeping is needed.

What can we expect from the pitchers that will actually make it to campus? Any potential starters? Also, who besides Doughty can play middle infield?

Connor Phillips is a big time arm, I thought he and Lewis were both 50/50 to make it to campus. He's at least a midweek starter as a freshman.
Cairo would have been an instant plug and play type of guy. Collier Cranford a local infielder just had shoulder surgery so I don't know how long it is before he's 100%. As painful as it may be for people to hear this Hughes, Doughty, and Dugas look to be the front runners for 2B/SS.
The good news? LSU looks like it has the pond stocked at every other position. I think they'll be able to afford one little hole offensively as long as the defense is solid up the middle.

Our staff is going to have a plethora of arms next season.

What's the expected attrition looking like?..4 or 5 players?

We’re right around 5 right now.
Getting Beck and Garza back next year will be huge.

We said that about this year
The big difference will be that we won't have to RELY on a freshman to step up next year. We can ease them into their roles.

We are going to absolutely mash the ball next year

But we thought Storz and Labas would be healthy. And many expected Hess to make take it to another level.
Don’t disagree, just pointing it out

He’s going to be one of the front runners at 3B. It all depends on if Doughty gets inserted at SS or 3B. That kid is going to be a 3 year starter.

Now I need ell yo tell us who is transferring
Posted on 6/5/19 at 6:44 pm to RATeamWannabe
I see your point. I just think the sheer volume of returning pitchers, provided there isn't a ton of attrition, puts our staff in a better position to start next year than we were to start this year.
