Definitely hope we don’t lose Willis. Are there any updates on Jimmy Lewis? I know we are expecting him to sign. Wishful thinking I guess.

Won’t be an update for a few days at least. Teams don’t really know what they have till they finish the draft. Then the negotiations start. Physicals take place. Numbers are generally agreed upon in principle but there are still details to work out and sometimes changes.

If anything takes place now, it would be in the form of a surprise. A recruit picking JUCO so he’s eligible next year. Or a draftee getting shafted either purposefully by the mlb club or by another recruit who won’t take enough under slot or doesn’t sign for there to be enough cash to pay the overshot guys. None of those scenarios are likely this year though.
