Any chance we could get him to come still though?
Just assume everyone taken in rounds 1-10 is gone. If someone gets taken in those rounds and we land them, it'll be a nice surprise.

Based on what? There's probably a reason he deleted the tweet, right?
Based on the fact that his dad said this weekend that he was likely coming to LSU if not drafted in the first round today. Based on the fact that his family doesn't really need money right now. Based on the fact that his earning potential is just as high in football as in baseball, and so the odds are very good of getting over $2 million in either the MLB or the NFL draft in three years. Based on the fact that both programs look like they can contend, and Hampton might see himself as the next Chad Jones who could win national championships in both sports.

We are looking at a slot value of 780k to open the round and dropping.

I just assume that he didn't want to seem disrespectful to the process or to teams that might still want to draft him.

If we are counting little victories Lewis hasn’t changed his twitter bio from LSU yet

Lewis has a slot value of 793k. Dodgers have a bonus pool of 8 mill.

I do find it quite ironic that the 1st team all SEC shortstop was taken 1 pick after Smith, who was snubbed from even making second team all SEC

If I had a pool with 8 million in it I would swim daily.

Can't he still get first round money from a team that has a large bonus pool? I mean, most of us who follow recruiting read that this was his dad's position. But nobody knows if that's just negotiating posture or not...unless you know the family.

So...do you know the family?

I think you can safely assume that for him to be drafted in the spot he was that there is an agreement in place between him and the Dodgers.

Yes in the 17 round I think

So it looks like people saying not to look into Hampton deleting his tweet and he will be ending up at LSU.

Was labas drafted
Yeah, before he even committed to LSU

Makes sense the more I think about it. The part I the tweet about “God knows my worth” was a pretty direct shot at the orgs for not picking him 1st round. Probably doesn’t want to burn bridges with the teams that will be drafting him in 3 years

As project said if he falls out of the third round then we can put it to bed.
