Blake Baker (DC, LB coach*)
Bo Davis (D-Line coach)
Kevin Peoples (Edge coach)
Jake Olsen (Safeties coach)
Corey Raymond (Secondary coach)

*They haven't officially announced Blake Baker as the LB coach, but the defensive staff is full on spots so that's a safe assumption.

New staff has been uploaded HERE:

Corey Raymond:
“Corey’s passion for LSU and the desire for our program to have the best defensive back unit in the country really stood out." “Corey’s tremendous knowledge and experience, along with his recruiting success, make him a great addition to a strong defensive staff."

Kevin Peoples:
“Kevin develops his players physically, technically, as young men and student-athletes as well any coach in the profession." “I’m excited to pair him with Bo Davis on our defensive line giving LSU a pair of elite coaches on our defensive front.”

Jake Olsen:
“We are thrilled to welcome Jake back to Baton Rouge." “He’s a young and hungry coach with an elite defensive mind that will bring great continuity to our defensive staff. Jake has spent the last three years working with Coach Baker and has extensive experience in the state of Louisiana. I have no doubt Jake will bring a great sense of pride and understanding to what it means to work for LSU.”

Looks like Corey is the lead for all the DBs if that is his title.

Would be an improvement from last year when Perk lined up at Nickel somewhat frequently...

I thought that was interesting. Olsen has the safety coach title, but I can't help but wonder whether or not he's going to be the main guy there.

Sounds like maybe a training wheels thing for Olsen and a bigger title in name for Raymond.

Baker coached safeties at Mizzou as well

Surprised BK let Baker bring all the Mizzo guys versus getting 2 other high end guys.

Olsen is interesting but I trust the eval there.
Peoples is someone I would've wanted whether we got Baker or not.

Anyone visit an SEC and/or Mizzou board? So curious what that fanbase is posting!

Think this Coaching group will be eons further along in developing the D talent

Without officially confirming it…this team and this program is in an incredible shape for the future. It will be hard in this day and age of college football to ever replicate what Bama did….but what is being put together is nothing short of impressive and optimistic.

This should be the telling sign that BK ain’t going nowhere.

I’ve always questioned having a separate coach for corners and safeties. I’m sure they practice together most of the time, but they’re a unit, not unlike an offensive line. Does anyone have a separate OT and interior O line coach?

Safeties have to work with corners and linebackers as a unit. Safeties are always switching off from coverage to run support.

The safety position have evolved drastically over the last decade or so to make them much more of a blend of a linebacker and a safety with a lot more responsibilities. And in coverage, responsibilities are typically split up in zones, not exactly as one unified unit often.

Oline is always operating in unison so it doesn’t make a ton of sense to break that up.

Having two Dline coaches is much more unorthodox but it’s an embarrassment of riches type of situation

I don’t care if it’s a safety or cornerback and who the coach is but when a safety or cornerback in coverage turns to find the ball I will know that we have legit coaches again. It’s been brutal watching this shite show we call a secondary the last few years
