I have lived all over the state and now call Laffy home. I support every school in this state and know for a fact that every college community in this state supports LSU except ULL.. No matter how smart you are, or think you are, your ignorace makes you look patheic. I know for a fact that LSU fans do not think about ULL until we play them, but you jealous fools think about LSU constantly. Sad, so sad
I live in Lafayette and would appreciate it if you moved.
You want rational, then you've come to the wrong place...

I think of La tech as being a more accomplished sports program. Maybe not the last 2-3 years, but if you look at a bigger sample then I would say they are superior. I'm not going to dig up stats to back that up, just how I perceive the two sports programs
ETA: they beat you 48-20 this year in Lafayette

Historically would have Tulane and Tech over ULL. In football I would have ULM over them as well.
If we are comparing how teams do in their respective peewee leagues I would have McNeese over them as well.

LSU fans dissing on oilfield workers as if their grads are above the work. You show your asses every time like clockwork. It only gets to my point that the University of Louisiana is blue collar and LSU is delusional.

Ah yes, because football games is how we should determine which institution is better than the other. I mean, who could argue with that logic? LSU fans, I swear, you guys really do crack me up
on message boards about sports, you generally judge schools based on sports programs
but if you really wanted to rank state schools based on academics you would come out even farther behind

Louisiana has won 4 straight bowl games
Coach Huds done a great job. We are not great but are competitive. I believe it's important to provide a place where local athletes can receive a scholarship and continue to play sports. Louisiana has done a fine job of supporting local athletes and fielding competitive teams in different sports.

Can someone explain the water hose/gatorade thing?

I get super confused why ULL fans are so disrespected by their actual name. Other schools embrace it...
UCLA is University of California at Los Angeles.

Obviously you know nothing about water buffaloes

I love my fellow tigerfans but if you read this board in the last couple days you'd swear that refers to LSU. Seems if we were really that confident and secure we wouldn't have to start a dozen threads complaining about a team we're so certain we'll beat.

I thought this as well. Seems like someone who is insecure would have started the thread in the first place also.

If you don't find this banter fun, I feel bad for you, because it's hilarious and awesome.

Had ULL beaten Florida in 2012 or Ole Miss last year, I would put Hud in a more elite level. He's good, but he needs a big upset to really get on the national scene. UF in 2012 would've been huge; I was pulling for y'all, too.

I'd just like to come clean here and say that when I wake up in the morning, besides those mornings that I may venture onto the Rant and they are being discussed in baseball, like the past few days, ULL does not even register as a blip on my radar consciousness. Win or lose, it will be back to irrelevance in my life at least by Monday.

Because they think that calling themselves the University of Louisiana actually MAKES them the University of Louisiana. It's Little Brother syndrome to the nth degree.
I've always wondered (and can never seem to get a straight answer) why they feel that they're more entitled to be called UL than Monroe.

I agree. I played football with a guy that was recruited by some of the most prestigious programs in the country. Problem was he was not smart enough to get into pretty much any program in the country. Ended up playing for USL.

agreed, most cajun fans believe this as well.
the first year he coached, he coached balls to the wall nothing to lose. last couple of years he was alot more conservative and i think it cost us once or twice.
ETA: oh, and because our defense was the worst thing ive ever seen put on a playing field.
