Ehh, LSU easily gets in over Boise and probably Utah. I would say that undefeated Penn State and to a lesser degree USC are our only hurdles. If you told me LSU won the rest of their games I would probably taken even odds on LSU to making the NC

it's just my humble opinion, but lsumatt is the MVP of the entire site.

i don't know if we have a "poster of the year" award, but if we do and he didn't win last year it's a crime.

Yeah, I know. But they don't play too many "bad" teams either. I don't think they fair as well in other computers that are more top heavy.

Second, we are horrible in the computers because we haven't beat anyone yet. That all changes when we play 3 top 10 teams

I am not so sure, Penn St. and Texan Tech haven't played anyone and look at where they are

The computers are as biased as the polls, it all smoke and mirrors to favor the tv markets, lets face it....

We need to win and win convincingly, if ever and whenever we get a shot

They are undefeated. We aren't. Had we been undefeated, we would be up there too

Winner of Big 12 vs. Winner of SEC in title game.

Only way this doesn't happen is if,
USC wins out and winner of SEC or Big12 has two losses.
PennSt wins out and winner of SEC or Big12 has two losses

Undefeated Penn State goes over any 1-loss team

Depending on how it shakes out USC could go over some 1-loss SEC/Big12 teams.

Tylercsbn9, what do you know about a prospect named Jodan Leslie? He's a junior at Tomball HS.

Well then, all we have to do is play in the Little 10 or some other cupcake division.

I am going to try real hard and ignore the unnecessary insult?

Well you make a ridiculous accusation about the computers being based on the polls, which they absolutely do not and I have explained.

Hell, I reproduce the ColleyMatrix every week without using the polls

I understand you, I just think there is going to be a two month long debate about who's better between the SEC and Big 12 and the voters will make the matchup happen.
Taking all numbers out of it, because some of these numbers come from humans heads/votes. In the end I would bet USC doesn't go over anyone else in the SEC or Big 12 with the same amount of losses. Also, the SEC is the two-time defending champs, someone has to beat us to be called the champion, they can't beat us unless they face us. Thats why any SEC team with 1 loss is automatically in over anyone else with 1 loss. I know that doesn't flow with the numbers, I am just giving my opinion.

USC's computer ranking will continue to drop every week, win or lose.

You're right, I made a hasty reponse out of frustration, my bad. However, the BCS does rely on the polls.

How are the strength of schedules calculated in the various computers?

LSU Matt knows what he is talking about. Him, and the dudes that got the raw data from inside Ike, and put it on the board, and explained it, are the best things about tigerdroppings.

Point 1. USC's computer ranking will not drop. Our SOS will take a slight hit most weeks, but we have played 1 less game than most teams.

Matt in your future poll you are assuming that the higher team wins out, but you made an error. have put OU in there with a 2nd loss.

What I am most worried about right now are the chances of an OU vs. Texas rematch assuming a Penn St. and Alabama loss.
