Probably true. But OSU played 9 conference games in what was the statistically toughest conference this year

Additionally, both of Oklahoma State's "cupcakes" (ULL and Tulsa) have had unusually good years.

Is it the final ballot, or the ballot before the NCG?

2 things need to happen for Okie State this week. #1 blow out Oklahoma. #2 the idea that their only loss came the day after the Women's basketball coach died and it affected them.

I would say #2 is to have Virginia Tech lose the ACC Championship Game. They need to get as many #2 votes as possible, and if Virginia Tech wins, it's possible that some voters on the east coast will put Va Tech in that #2 slot instead of Ok St.

I was of the opinion that if OSU won this week, they'd be voted #2; but looking at the polls this week and them being behind both Stanford and Va Tech, I'm much less certain. In fact, I think if Va Tech wins, OSU almost has no shot.

If LSU loses the sec championship does that help or hurt Bama, especially of ok st wins and vt loses?

Guys I spent a few hours on this chart I made compiling all of the BCS computer scores for each of the contenders and averaging them out so everyone (The Voters) could get a better understanding of the body of work for each of the 4 deserving candidates. I would like you guys to look over it and maybe clean it up a bit as I plan on spreading it via social media (twitter).

Somewhere in there you need a check box for "won conference"

Yeah I considered that but figured it would be assumed? Maybe wishful thinking on my part...
I think the difference between Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech's resume this season will be staggering to many.

I was under the impression that due to conference limitations of only two schools per conference are let into the BCS. Say we lose, UGA auto-in as the SEC champ to the Sugar and it would be between LSU and Bama for the other spot.

amirite?

The 2011 LSU fighting tiger football team is at the door step of two more game to all time glory. And in reality a real chance to go down in college football lore as the very best college football team that ever was.
The strength of schedule and depth of talented football players. On this years LSU football team is not so quietly making the college football fans recognise that the 2011 LSU football team is on the very threshold of winning and playing them self into college football historical greatness. Two more opponents to defeat. Georgia bulldogs in the Georgie Dome for the SEC Championship in Atlanta. And then, the New Orleans Super Dome against the once beating Alabama Crimson tide. In New Orleans BCS Championship game. Two Games to all time Glory.

So, there would have to be a significant movement to vote--not for who they think is the better team, that clearly is Bama--but AGAINST a rematch. I don't think that movement makes up enough ground in 1 week. I just don't. And I don't think it should. If you think Bama is the 2nd best team in college football, you fricking rank them #2.

If voters think OSU is the second best team, then that's fine. If voters believe Bama is the second best, but vote OSU #2 simply to avoid a rematch, then the BCS is a crock of shite.

the goal is to determine the best team. you aren't better than LSU. That has been proven. It has yet to be proven that LSU is better than OSU. Giving OSU a chance to prove themselves is not

The goal is to pit #1 vs #2 in the BCSCG. Period. It's not about giving some inferior team a shot at a NC.

The BCS' stated goal is to put the #1 and #2 BCS ranked teams in the BCSCG. It states nothing about being fair to Bama. Nor does it say that all voters have to vote Bama as the highest rank team with like schedule and ahead of doormats who are undeeated. If Bama is voted ahead of all 2 loss teams, there really isn't a complaint.

Based on the strength of schedule and quality wins, Bama looks like the inferior team to me.

If LSU and Bama are 1 and 2 in the BCS, you would have:

BCSNCG: LSU v. Bama
Sugar : Georgia

There is a provision that allows for this.

Statistics say OSU is better then Bama. Hell, Bama had a shot against LSU at their house and couldn't do it. Tough luck.

That being said, I actually want to play Nick again so we can beat that arse twice in one year.
