I have been waiting 4 years for Josh D. to get bigger and stronger.

Still has not happened.

Weak link IMO.

You are wrong. Josh D was bragged on by Miles since he got here but has been a bust. I wish he was better. He got pushed around at OT because he was under-sized and he didn't work out at OG either. Everyone has bragged on him but he just never produced. Almost every rantor agrees with me. We are waiting on him for the last five years and he keeps failing to produce.

....and there you have it.

Most of these fools have never truly studied Josh's play and even if they did, wouldn't know what they were looking at.

Saw Evan Washington doing big cat. I know he had problems with his foot, hopefully he is better cus i always felt he could be a good one. Les miles has also praised elliot porter and said he will push for PT. Man have the tables turned, fricking bob ley and espn should do a whole otl report on hiw very wrong they were.

How much should he weigh?
Please also cite required maxes for him to reach the "strong" level.
Also, how long ago and in what games did you witness him getting pushed back?

Last question: what experience do you have in regards to grading oline performance on the college level?

One game against Auburn in 2010 is not a big enough sample size, just FYI. He is really not half as bad as the Tigah Rant makes him out to be.

That said, I imagine the injury will be setting him back a good bit.

Being at 6'6 I would suggest 315-325. I would say he is around 285-290 and has been the last 3 years.

Should I start stating he should be Larry Allen strong and bench press 700-800 pounds? NO. But with what he weighs I’m going to say level of strength would grow if he could ever put more weight on.

Oh, and my credentials. I watch College Game day every Saturday on ESPN. And one time I attended a PEE WEE football game 17 years ago. (Joking)

I promise I have played and watched a lot more football than you have to understand when someone is underweight, not strong enough and consistently one of the lesser on the O line.

But since you claim to know your arse from a hole in the ground, you must know something about the O line.

Williford is the biggest guy on the team and a 4th yr JR. Why isn't he playing OT?

Josh D has those ballerina legs. Not to mention he's dirty as he'll.

Not my favorite player.

The offensive line seemed bigger & stronger this season--this was with Josh Williford playing instead of T-BoB and without Josh D playing. Josh D seems like a good guy & I applaud his team commitment, applying for & receiving a 6th year. I would think that Collins is good enough to pass him & should get the starting job. Let Josh D be a solid back-up. He's not the ideal size for an SEC guard. I just like the team's chances at winning the SEC & BCS with Collins starting at guard and Josh D being the back-up.

Collins will get his reps each game. If Josh is healthy he'll be the starter.

Come on bruh, I see what you're trying to say, but people seeing o lineman getting pushed into their own backfield is enough to see that the olineman is struggling.

...yup....I know a little bit.

315-325? I present to you this tid bit:LINK

guess Matt needs to fricking eat his Wheaties.

Look, I too can recall a few instances 2 years ago when he got pushed back......in several cases, that was by design (bull rush/blowing the gap) and is almost impossible to stop. Ideally you just take them on a run and possibly utilize The Munoz and hope not to get called for holding.

Ultimately, the guy has a great toolbox of experience and the men making millions will be the best judges of who should play.

I could go for Josh D being the play multiple spots if needed guy--this should logically mean La'el starts at guard.

Another possibility is to put Collins at tackle and move Hurst inside to guard, since I believe he has played there in the past.

Also, I was never a big fan of T-Bob either, as many posters may recall.

However, after those guys, we have Josh D coming off an injury and no one with PT after that

That has always had me wondering why this is the case. Why don't we have more OL with playing experience, especially since we had so many blow out wins last season. I recall the starters playing into the 4th Quarter last year against Ole Miss.

Maybe the lack of experience is why we are recruiting that Samoan juco OL
