Of course hurst is in at LT.....

He's been abused several times on the right side. Now they're going to have him protect Mett's blind side? Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see this as the solution.

Wasn't Josh nicked a few games back. Rest him and work others is a good plan. You have our approval, Les.

I was hoping that JD could go back to LG and Collins would be able to slide over to tackle. Does Lael not have the feet for LT?

Offensive line is not like a cookie cutter. Tackle is worlds apart from a guard, two completely different positions. I know he played it in high school, but that means squat now. If he would have practiced tackle during spring and fall maybe. But moving hurst is the best option right now.

He did play well against Clowney in the All Star game.

That's the key.

Does this improve our o-line a little, a lot or not at all?

Les more or les said this on his show when questioned. Hurst to left tackle vadal to start at RT.

He said collins would be a good canidate for Left Tackle. That would be some time in the future.
This is the best alternative for now.

What other choice do we have?

IMHO, resting an experienced player, and giving full game reps to a rising young player, against an opponent such as Towson, can only improve our o-line. The degree of improvement will depend on the healing of Josh D and the quality of experience gained against an inferior team. To answer your question directly .........

Dreaux I think your right. If they had worked Collins some at left tackle then we would move him over.

I'm not blaming the coaches they Could not forsee Faulk's injury. Moreover they thought Josh would get it done as a backup.

They are doing what they can do. Sometimes you lose to many players during a season.

I don't mind keeping La'El Collins at guard, because even if he played tackle this year he'd be back inside next year when Chris Faulk comes back.

Might as well let him take as many snaps there as he can.

Did better in the running game than Hurst did. Ford ate Hurst's lunch all night. Hurst has been bad in 3 of the 4 games. Neither appear to be the answer but just going by better overall results, I go with Josh D. I think Hurst is a better talent and better overall, so don't take it as favortism but I call it like I see it. Hurst has been bad all year aside from the Washington game.
