Everybody says keep stud, the players love him, fine. Keep him, give Krags a position for as long as he is able/wants to work and hire a frickin OC that knows how to mix it up and keep the other team on their heels. You don't have to change the system, just better utilize what we have. How many times did our defense bail the offense out this past season? Too many to count!

The defense was better than good most of the year and most of the Alabama game is was outstanding.

On the last Alabama series, the LSU defense sucked and it played uninspired football most of the rest of the year.

What is it that you folks don't understand? Did we not win 10 games this year? Playcalling may have cost us 1 win at Florida, and that's even questionable due to the injuries.

Not the wins that concern me. It's struggles early against Towson, Barely beating Ole Piss AT HOME, not dominating a crap Arkansas team.

10 wins is great, but a lot of those wins could just have easily been losses, to teams far inferior to LSU.

With the talent Les Miles gathers in recruiting, we should be dominating a great majority of our opponents. See last year as an example.

Again, not about the wins, but about the level of output (or lack thereof) relative to our top tier talent.

Good question. Don't think it's ever been asked.

yep.
It's just a fact: in Miles tenure, he gets 100 % out of everyone--
but underachieves at QB & Receivers.

We will always drop a key game--the once a year, "define our team" as THE best or part of the rest-- until this is fixed.

Les is the best head coach u could ask for--
but even the greatest college & pro coaches have assistants and/or coordinators who manage a part of their system that is not
their strong-suit.

For Les, it's Offense's TEMPO & play calling that are out-of-sorts quite often.

LSU's D strikes FEAR into other teams...not so much our Offense, we can be straight-up about it or we can act like "wow it's great" but i expect the BEST from LSU.

Our Defense looked fatigued this year after saving our butts for 1st half of season.
It's getting old.

"Play calling cost us both L's this yr.". Mett struggled horribly against the gators & I don't see play calling being a factor on offense. We lost the game when the defense, worn down, was repeatedly gashed on 2 consecutive drives when Mentor was out of the game. We lost bama in the last 2 minutes of the game when the defense again could not make a stop. Offense did enough to win that game.

Les needs a 7-5 season to see he might have a Problem with his WEAK offense

this is an example ofwhat posi tigers have been saying; some lsu fans (if they are genuine) want to program to fail so they can get their way. 23 and probably 24 wins over two years and we need a change? that many wins in ANY conference is exempliry but in the SEC WEST it's even better. but the guy sucks. i was myself unhappy earlier until i saw how the play calling "got better" when player execution improved. i presume you are like others than think we must run the spread all the time and have a gundy, kelly, petrino type coach and will settle for nothing else.

we are 23-3 under Stud right now. I think that would be the most undeserved firing in the history of cfb

Granted, I think we do need a new OC

If you keep Stud I get it, but get us an OL coach. Mario would be an awfully nice Christmas present. FWIW I would like to see a new OC and an arse load more creativity with our offense but that doesn't appear likely.

Is this like the idea that Auburn should have kept Trooper Taylor, since the players--or at least the ones he recruited--liked him?

I doubt Stud will go unless he gets a head coaching offer (come on, Ark St.)somewhere, but a new O coordinator with a solid resume would certainly be welcome at LSU.

I would to but I think Stud retains the position. It is what it is. CLM&Co. did demonstrate they wanted to pass more this year. Hopefully a consistent OL plus receivers being cured of cement handitis will assuage the fans a bit.

Probably zero but we could use a full time one. Apparently at some point Miles realized he needed one and thus hired Kragthorpe. Guess he is happy with Studs job.

I agree that Stud has been good over the past two years but a true OC would lift LSU to another level.

Can't argue with winning, regardless of how; running, passing, defense, special teams, etc. But it is frustrating to settle for field goals when we should be scoring touchdowns. Could have put some games out of reach early and changed the way opposing offenses played against us if we score more TDs in the red zone.

Good? 23/3 is just good?
I am truly sorry that the professional coaches at LSU don't do things to totally satisfy a bunch of guys that work at chem plants, sit in office cubicles and/or try to stay sober enough to remember the way to class.
