LSU had to have a Dlineman play every snap of a game and had 4 dlinemen for 3 positions for another and that is not supposed to be mentioned or it is considered an excuse? Was LSU different when players returned?

Troy doesn’t have a single 4* on their roster.

Troy didn’t have a single player drafted in the 2017 draft.

If talent is elite why aren’t our players getting drafted as high as they used to?

He shouldn’t be considered dangerous. If we have good safeties (and we do), put a good QB spy on him and force him to beat you through the air.

Bro as as a first year starter he had almost 3800 yards and 37 TDs. He had 21 pass TDs. That would be tied for 2nd most at LSU in the pass 11 years. As a matter of fact his passing in 2016 was equal to Matt Flynn's in his 2007 year. Then this guy ran damn near equal to Guice (1375 yards 7.03 ypc 16 TDs vs 1387 7.58 ypc 25 TDs).

I don't care who you are, that is freaking dangerous.

He was down in passing and running the ball last year, as they lost their most talented WR, their #2 WR during the season, and losing their #3 WR before the season due to injury. It's like Etling going into last year with Gage and Anderson as his best receiver from the previous year, and then losing one of them during the season. He'll be better than ever this year and it'll take all of LSU's potential top 5 defense to keep him from having a field day.

So Troy didn't run all over us for most of the game, and the defense couldn't get off the field? Ok sammy

I know you guys rag on the defense for Troy and the DL issues for Miss St, but the real problem in all that was the offense. It wasn't until VERY late in the 3rd quarter of the Troy game that we scored for the first time, and that was because we forced a turnover inside of their five. Against MSU, we could only score 7 points all game. They don't score 37 points if we had any kind of a decent offense. After Troy went up 24-7 in the fourth their coach AND players, relaxed and almost lost the game. This is the same thing Miss St did in 2014 that almost cost them the game vs LSU. Them playing soft led to us scoring two more TDs in the Troy game.

Basically, my point is that LSU's offense last year was a freaking joke. The scoring offense was as bad as 2014 when we had a first year starter in Jennings, true freshman in Brandon Harris, true freshman Fournette, true and redshirt freshman in Diarse, Dupre, and Quinn, with our most experienced WR coming in with only 7 catches. Oh, we also had an OL coach in his first year.

I said all that to say that the fact that a super inexperienced offensive unit going against better competition (scoring defenses in country #1 Ole Miss, #6 Bama, #9 Arkansas, #17 Wisconsin, #19 UF, #23 Miss St), did as good as an experienced offensive unit vs worse competition (#1 Bama, #11 Troy/Auburn, #26 Miss St, #31 ND). The 2017 LSU team played 2 power 5 opponents in the top 25 of scoring defenses (3 in top 26), compared to the 2014 team playing 3 in the top 9, 5 in the top 19, and 6 in the top 23. Last year was utterly inexcusable on offense and it had no reason to be.

Shocking, no one has a response to all these facts.
