NOt at all, given the large buyout. Lets face it, we have Les and we have no quarterback for a year or two...at least.

Lets all remember, these are the odds makers who are normally right, but not all of the time. If you look at last year, the odds makers didnt have us losing to Ole Miss, going to OT with Arky, or holding Florida the way that we did. Lets realize, we only lost four games last year. MS. State would give their coach a raise with four loses.
I realize we are that low, but come on, give Lessypoo a break...he needs it.

Usually more right than not or they would not be in business.
Now go check it for AL.
You will see the difference in unbiased opinions of what Miles has done to our football program versus what Saban has accomplished.
Sad part is Miles ends up the winner no matter what. He was given a great program. We will have paid him more than enough money to retire into the sunset even for running it into total mediocrity.
Skip f--ked up on that one big time.

I would take the over 7 for the Tigers ... I'd actually place the O/U at 8

yeah, an underdog never wins or beats the spread.

After what I saw last fall and this spring from our Tigers, the only sure wins on our schedule are McNeese and ULM. We have far too many question marks to assume wins over any league opponents at this point.

Rushing defense and passing game are HUGE concerns for me.

And no I'm not trying to hate.

So MS State has become our measuring stick.

And they are always right. I mean look at last years' predictions and the year before. No need to play the fu cking games.
Sit on our patio, drinkin lite beer and feelin sorry for ourselves.
Or better yet let's just get into a stew and get mad over somethihng that hasn't happened yet.
Yep that's the adult way.

if the gamblers think LSU is not all that great, as you say, 7-5 "SOUNDS about right", then Miles should not be hounded about it.

Yes, he should. He's the biggest reason why 7-5 sounds about right. If he had kept our team at the level it was when he inherited it, or even anywhere close, oddsmakers would not have us underdogs in five games before the season starts.

I'm not saying they're right about each game listed here, but 7-5 does sound about right for our final record. I do agree on four of them, but I disagree on North Carolina. That game should be rated about a tossup, or maybe we should be slightly favored. But I think we'll lose to one of WVU, Tennessee or Ole Miss instead.

He took over after the 04 "mediocre" season. Mediocre being your description of any 9 win season with a non-Top 15 finish and had 3 elite ranking seasons in a row with ranking around Top 5 level and above.

So, going by your past post which labeled 04 as a "mediocre" season didn't Miles raise the LSU program from where he "inherited" it and how many seasons in a row did u expect us to remain at the 05, 06, and 07 level and what coach EVER held us at an elite level longer than Miles did?
