Alabama. That's the strangest damn state in the country ... so many weirdos from there.
Not quite as bad as California, but Bama is as weird a state as we have in the deep south.

I found an LSU hat at a truck stop in Philly. Well just outside of Philly. Standard ugly as shite, truck stop though.

They had some heavily overpriced LSU stuff in downtown Paris but they also had other teams like SC and Bama and the U.

I gave one of our drivers in Yemen an LSU cap. Last time I saw him he was proudly wearing it.

Found a steak place in a town south of Bozeman, Montana that was covered in LSU stuff. The owner was from new Orleans, and would pay to have waitstaff from new Orleans come work there at different parts of the year. Damn good steak too.
He's from Baton Rouge and he posts on this board. He also owns a place called TJ Ribs. You may have heard of it?

Not a state, but it's been reported that Jimmi Hoffa was last seen wearing an LSU jersey.

I have some relatives in Tulsa. They were flying their LSU flag outside when we took care of OU in '03. They got some dirty looks, but I'm sure it was worth it.

Finding LSU stuff in Destin sparked this thread?
..Really?
Exactly. Do you people not get out. LSU is a national university. They've won 2 National championships in football in the last decade, have famous alumni/attendees like Shaq and Brian Wilson on the cover of nationally recognized magazines every now and then, and is generally recognized as a popularly known school (read any internet article on partying or tailgating or college baseball, and LSU will be in the top 5 in all categories).
I live in Kansas and I can drive to Manhattan, Topeka, or Lawrence and find at least an LSU hat.
