An empty trash can is better than Les Miles. O is our guy for now at least, so we have to kind of love the one we're with for now. ANYTHING and ANYONE, including O, is an exponential upgrade from brain dead Leslie.

Is miles bound and gagged like Hannibal Lector?

My answer depends on your answer.

Stupid because it wouldn't matter who the OC would be with Miles

And so then what will be LSU's identity?
How will LSU recruit? Spread? Pro? Air Raid? Whatever flavor of OC happens to be at LSU that year?
I fear no direction and constant turmoil.

Say what you will about Miles offense, but fact is he has the top 4 scoring offenses in LSU history, each under different OCs.

Dietzel resigned and was replaced by a Defensive Assistant with little experience and he coached for 18 years!!

yep, 18 years of mediocrity.

Cholly Mac finished with an SEC record of 60–41–3. Won the SEC only once. In an era where the SEC schedule was only 6 games, only 4 seasons out of 18 did he have fewer than 2 SEC losses.

Mediocre.

Neither.

There is no other possible answer for a logical person.

What was our identity under Miles?

I'm pretty sure the identity going forward is to use the whole field and use every playmaker we have. Something the previous regime couldn't understand.

Also LSU DL coach.
That's getting the definition of insanity down to a science.

And that D-line coach immediately made changes which improved the staff by firing Peveto and Cameron. The players to a man responded well to the change from Miles to Orgeron. The staff stayed intact with the exception of Dameyune Craig who was also let go but replaced with Tommy Robinson. Then to top it off Aranda chose to turn down Tom Herman (his college roommate) and stayed at LSU with Orgeron. Finally, Orgeron made a good hire for OC with Canada.

Do you honestly think all the guys on the LSU staff had no place else to go and stayed at LSU by default? Orgeron is respected by this staff and the players. He has a great staff. One of the finest in the country. All some of you see is Orgeron's Ole Miss years and ignore everything else. I honestly think Orgeron will be very successful at LSU.

Regarding the OP's question, the fact is that if Miles had stayed then Cameron and other coaches would still be here. More of the same.

I did not agree with the hiring of coach O. With that said, he was offered the job, he accepted it and I'm going to support him and the team.

I'm very logical and objective, as well as very highly educated and a successful business owner. I was not an O supporter. That said, look at the changes that have been made under O already. Cam would still be here under Miles. Easy answer, O.

Pro, ball control with preferably mobile QBs. Where you been?

I think there were mostly problems with delivering the ball to the playmakers (in P&G).

I don't see much in terms of similarities quite honestly....both position coaches, sure...that's about it.

LOL I mean that was your main point and he totally owned you with it. So I'd say the similarity is very high.

I love this board.
