Ed Orgeron on Jonathan Giles: “I gave him the number 7. He’s a great young man, but he hasn’t produced yet. He’s gonna have to pick it up.” #LSU

People keep throwing up his numbers at tech but are failing to mention he was benched that year thus prompting him to transfer.

I’m sure Derrick Dillon could put up those numbers at Tech.

Giles is a drive killer.

LSU has WR's who can catch the ball.

At some point, he might have to take a seat for a while. I hope he can step up, but as mentioned already, his drops have been killing drives in important spots of games.

It is not just the drops. Most of the time he cannot get separation and get open either.

I remember Jamal Adams vehemently tweeting that you earn the number 7, it’s not given when it was announced he’d get it

A WR who drops the ball and can't get separation? That's not good.

Exactly. Quinn was ripped constantly bc he had some drops. Giles has been atrocious and deserves to be ridiculed bc he's had much more of an opportunity than Trey ever got.

Giles was gifted the number 7 which was supposed to mean something. Mistake by Eaux. The kid did nothing to earn it and has done nothing to show he deserved it.

It’s time to stop rotating WRs.

Play your top 4-5(Anderson, Jefferson, Chase, Sullivan and Marshall or Dillon).

No doubt in my mind this is leading to drops when you’re on the field every other series and not getting a good rhythm

Quinn I know right. Miles should have worked with him instead of kicking him to the curb

Yep. He definitely showed he can play. Got a bad rap here and never really got much of a chance, especially considering certain players were never benched no matter how horribly they played.

Anyway, back to Giles...the kid has brought nothing but his headband and arm sleeve to the game. Time to see what else we got

Hopefully he’ll use O’s comments as motivation but tbh I never heard of until the Miami game so I don’t really have any expectations of him

Needs to sit on punt returns also. He caught one at the 7 & 9 yard line, and tried to pick up one going out of bounds. Plus he hasn't came close to a good return

You have that backwards. We shouldn't flame any of these kids. You can ask if Giles should be supplanted by another receiver without calling him trash, etc. Honestly, the hatred for Quinn was ridiculous based on a couple of play, really 1 IIRC. Same was true for Brossette. Some of that seems to have changed.

Coaches see a lot more than we do, I'll let them make those decisions. If you have an issue with Giles playing as much as he does or someone not playing, your issue is with the coaches, not the player.

Giles looks like Bowe before he got his eyes checked.

I went and checked his highlights and he was always thrown to in space in what looked to be like zone coverage. I'd love to see him in the screen game where he does not have to fight someone off the line

Why not start Chase over Giles, Chase has big time talent!
