Is that Sloan's fault?

I saw the OL get good push occasionally w the backside wide open and our back just bury in the pile. I’m no fan of the OL but wonder how our backs are being coached. It is like the cut back is a no no

No you didn't, that is my question. What many here and everywhere seem to not understand is that we are now in the age of parity. Who in the hell do you think we are? In the SEC nobody hardly ever gets blown out anymore. Ole Miss won by 3 pts, Georgia won by 10, Bama by 3, Tennessee by 3. Oklahoma gets beat by Texas who lost to Florida. Only team who sort of blew out any one this weekend was A&M. We are 5-1 with a flawed QB and an inexperienced OL. Wake up everybody has good players now and the conference has 8 to 10 good coaches. Vandy now is very very competitive.

The NIL and portal has changed everything

Remember BKs specialty besides not know what his team is doing is OL and TE development.
The OL even last year couldn’t run block and with Jayden didn’t do it either JD5 just out ran the Defense!
So basically BK has developed one TE, beat Bama once and won a SeC W title for $40M! Dam what an accomplishment ??

Why do we have such a bad QB and terrible offensive line? What is BK doing?

If you go back to the UF game. We had Durham missing gaps where the play was designed because he was jumping to cut backs too early and getting nothing. It just seems like we don’t have the best grasp of executing zone plays across the board.

Just wait until the Vandy game. People here will see Vandy and think anything less than a 30 pt win with eight sacks against a mobile QB means we are worse than ULM

Technique. It’s the same problem with everything, you have players making rudimentary mistakes all over the field but they never come off the field. Kelly seems to be soft, he’s either allowing this stuff of he isn’t coaching the bad habits out of them.

It’s 100% coaching. Same thing as last year with 2 nfl linemen starting for us. Could not run block and would get blown up and pushed back. Has to be technique Brad Davis has got to go.

When they get pushed back from the 1/2 yard line on a QB sneak, it’s just getting whipped physically. Nothing to do with zone blocking.

He wasn't this bad last year AND for insurance BK brought in MVB. Bet you MVB will know the playbook and be ready when needed. Remember a ton of money was very well spent on getting defense in the portal. The OL is fixable Nuss is what he is. Betting we will steadily get better as the season goes on.

Its called being soft. We had a guy that size on our high school team and he was a total pushover. I was all state RT and lemme tell ya, you have to be have the dog in you and to be fair, most guys cant keep that level of intensity for a whole game.

Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

It’s mentality.
Weak soft lack of confidence.
Stems from poor leadership.
BK is the problem.
Been sayin it for a while now.

Davis plays entirely too high every play has very little bend and has fricking stone feet

Quickness and agility beats size,…..easily. Davis was blocking air most of the game. Put his hands out to block #6 who had already gone by him. Every SEC team has a couple guys that good. Davis just isn’t ready yet.

Yes and it is almost impossible to get any forward push off the line of scrimmage from a 2 point (standing up) stance. You are exposing your whole body to defensive players and our first Oline movement is standing up and moving backward.. Defensive linemen and, in certain instances, linebackers are moving forward at speed. First contact of LSU Olinemen always seems to he 1 to 3 yards deep past our side of the LOS. We never get any kind of positive push off the LOS.
