Wait and see. This new LSU offense is going to look a whole lot what the Saints offense looked like during the first half of the 2018 season.

Isn’t that from the mouth of the same guy that said Steve Ensminger was the best OC and QB developer in the country?

Orgeron on Joe Brady: "Game changer. Joe is a game changer. We researched Joe. We wanted to research the RPO game, and Joe took it over...When we signed him, Joe Moorhead texted me and said, 'Wow, you've got a home run.'"

Orgeron said he's never seen a team respond to a coach like LSU's players did to Joe Brady.

"He's the same age as our punter."

Lulz.

What in the past makes you believe this. Didn’t E and staff study the saints offense all offseason, especially the screen game? That worked out great. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Cool. Can he actually score a point against Alabama unlike his boss Stevie Ensminger?

Same age as the punter, lol

I’m excited

I am hoping we are trying to emulate 2016 Penn state not the saints.

I have A feeling we’d be in for a rude awakening when we don’t have Drew Brees every year at QB

I honestly wish Brady was the OC going forward. I feel like he brings so much more to the table than Ensminger.

Because how improved the offense was compared to 2017?

He can’t be offensive coordinator. O and E have perfected their smoked brisket recipe with a killer bbq rub. That bond is untouchable at the moment.

I think it’s a transitional process.

Brady is very young.

28 turning 29.

He’s never been a full time OC, or called plays. From a nuts and bolts day to day operations standpoint he can learn from Ensminger

Realistically if the offense really shoots up next year, well either need to promote him or lose him.

Time will tell how much of an impact Brady will have, if any at all. However, his hiring is exciting if for nothing else that it seemingly reflects a change in the offensive approach. LSU hired Canada, then quickly became unhappy with that hire and reverted back to a comfortable coach in E. Likewise, Ed hired 147 year old Jerry Sullivan to be his WR coach and passing game coordinator. Those were comfortable "known" commodities, but not guys who you thought could innovate the LSU offensive approach. Brady seems to represent a step in a different direction

I agree. It is not the hire I expected.

Also, when E was hired he discussed that he wanted to bring thenoffense forward with RPOs and tempo but I don’t think we put the staff together a staff with any experience and know how in that department.

As young as Brady is he probably has more experience with RPO based offenses than onyone on last years staff

Everyone can certainly understand the skepticism but they don’t bring I guy like this to NOT change the offfense! Besides do you or anyone else rally believe he would have left the Saints organization to run a three yards and forth down offense? No

If we can successfully run a screen pass just ONCE next season, I'll consider it a win.

Maybe he is. But we have been through 2 coaches and multiple ocs and the offense looks generally the same. A game changer would mean we look totally different on offense. And everyone without blinders on knows that isn't going to happen.

Can we all just take a second and understand that Brady had Drew Brees as his QB?
Burrow was good, but let’s chill with the super high expectations a bit.
