I’m not arguing to fire O right now. By and large, he has done a better job than I expected. I give him credit for that. We should wind up with 10 wins and a NY6 Bowl game for the first time in years. He’s earned next year at least.

That said, he can’t just rest on that and expect to last past that point. The goal is still to win championships; to do that we HAVE to be able to beat Bama or we’ll never break through that Crimson ceiling. That’s not good enough and he’s accountable for that. The problem is the same as it’s been for a decade now...the offense is terrible and cannot beat Bama. E needs to go back to coaching TEs (not even suggesting we fire him, just demote to where we wanted to stay in the first place) and O needs to hire a true dynamic OC and let him do his thing, don’t meddle.

If O cannot do that, then how is he in any way different than Miles? He should be let go for the same thing in that case. Or he adapts and does what’s needed to take the program to the next level. Whatever happens, it’s all on him to decide.

I don’t know whether you are being sarcastic with that or not, but if you are happy with almost 27 points a game then you must have been doing backflips with the 33 points a game we put up in 2015 playing a top 5 SOS.

We scored 28 per game last year with a far more talented offense, far easier schedule, and this board melted when the OC was fired.

ETA: Sorry, we scored 27.2 last year.

have to say, of all the boards I've posted on for all the years I have been on the internet, I can only think of a handful of posters who were as / more gleefully obscurantist / sophist as you are.

"Change the OC" = "Fire O!" What? How?

104th in offense = "Not E's fault!" = "Terrible OL!" = "Blame Miles!" Again... huh?

We get it. You're a "fan" of O. ( )

Baw, if O sticks with E the offense will be just as bad next year. It's Cam Cameron shite all over again. When LSU loses games next year because the offense stinks, it's no longer on E, it's on O for not fixing things.

You understand? No more excuses next year. If O makes a change and it doesn't work, so be it; if he does nothing and it doesn't work, he'll be on his arse.

You get that, right

Nobody here is just a fan of O's. He's tried to counterbalance the O hate on here for quite some time and for that he deserves some respect.

If O doesn't get the job done he'll deserve to be out on his arse but to say some of the shite you and others say constantly is fricking ridiculous and retarded. You exaggerate and overreact to everything.

You get that right.

You say that as if it's something to be proud of.

Les Miles and his "horrible" offense scored an average of 32 in 2015.

What is the justification for keeping E as OC? I can't think of a single valid reason.

Well, they canned the last OC who had better production that the current one. So there's that...but this one involves Eddie's feelings which might get hurt if he has to make another change...

He’s not counteracting anything

Tiger Ree was shirting on all other coaching candidates and sucking O dick before he was even hired full time.

Who gucking makes excuses for an interim coach losing a game?

Someone who cares more about the interim coach.

104 is a bad fricking offense. There is no need to defend it, unless you are trying to defend every single decision O makes.

Number 7. Woohoo. Hey REE, would you tell the class your exact relationship to LSU football? Are you on the payroll? If so, in what capacity?

I'll hang up and listen.

Relative to winning a championship, we might as well be #90 with what O and E are doing with our offense.

How many pts did that revamped offense score against the team that stands between us and championships?

If we were in the AAC or something, sure, give everyone an extension.

We're in the SEC, where #1 made us look like we don't even belong on the same field. We have to go through that team and we aren't even close to them. Open your eyes pal.

He's turned our red zone offense into a fricking field goal fest. And we didn't just lose to Bama, we lost to Florida.

If you have watched this offense all year and thought it's heading in the right direction, you're an idiot.

O has arguably earned the ability to coach next year. That's about it.

He hasn't earned an extension, carte blanche, and still hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt. But he can be here at least one more year. This thread isn't about firing O, it's about the Offense, which has performed far below average this year, especially after O got his hand picked guy.

So, much like Miles, he has the off seasons to fix it for next year. That's what he signed up for. E hasn't earned anything this year, #7 rankings or not, and should be out the door.
