When you compare him to JD and Burrow he has terrible work ethic.

How do you know that isn’t an RPO? We run a lot of that this year.

The RPO slants to Anderson and Thomas have been some of our most effective intermediate passing plays, but yeah, let’s just dump something that works when the offense is struggling.

fricking non-ball knowing morons.

Unless he simply handed the ball off there and it was a straight run play?

Kind of hard to draw any conclusions from a still shot with no other context.

Any chance he pulls it and runs right there?

Since there’s an 80% chance that’s an RPO this year, no.

The fricking rabble here will invent shite to riot over, no matter what, even when there are plenty of legitimate issues to complain about.

Jabstep, something was definitely bothering Nuss. It was big fast Ole Miss players getting to his backside. It’s hard to get into a rhythm when you are getting bounced around like a billiard ball on the break. Our offensive line tackles are not very good in protection. I’ll be surprised if Nuss is able to make it through this season without a very serious injury.

It hurts more than it helps. Anyone who watches game film can see it. This teams has zero idea how to zone block effectively. When there's less thinking and more aggressive push off the ball, this OL is better. Zone blocks slow their aggression down. Probably poor coaching here is the main contribution but at this point, I doubt they change it anyway. You would need an offseason to fix it so it is what it is at this point anyway. It doesn't take a genius to flip a few plays on and see this team is not comfortable zone blocking. How BK flips this on every week and does nothing about it is beyond me. Maybe he really doesn't care or he's just that incompetent.

None of this is correct. RPO blocking and run blocking is no different and OL never pass block on an RPO. The responsibility is on the QB to pull and throw before they get too far down field but the blocking doesn’t change for them. Also, RPO’s aren’t just on zone. They work on gap schemes too.

When they're in an option to hand the ball off or pass it becomes an absolute mess because they seem to have a disconnect on how they approach the blocks. When they run scripted runs you'll notice they're more aggressive off the ball and they get more push because they don't have to worry about Nuss pulling the ball down to throw.

The offensive line blocks traditional inside zone and RPO IZ the exact same. Nothing changes for them. The RPO portion talks only to the QB and the receiver.

I’m pretty sure he was talking about a lack of off season work and prep and not using the VR tool that helped JD make such big improvements between years.

Anybody who thinks he doesn't have an injury that's affecting his throwing motion/abilities just isn't being truthful, doesn't know what they are saying and doesn't pay attention to detail. It is very obvious he doesn't have the velocity he had from last year.
