Anyone can find a stat to try & prove their point, but I think the purpose of this post was to show we have one of the best QBs in the SEC, really in all of CFB, coming back next year & that’s something to be optimistic about

Yet you have posters who have no idea what they are talking about trying to make Nuss appear to be some scrub. Nuss is easily the best passing QB returning in the SEC next season.

Kind of like Fournette running into 9 man fronts all game. Defenses know we are going to pass and set pass defense accordingly. All this without stud WR’s like the 2 QB’s before had. LOL

Lester says Lacey is just as good as Brian Thomas Jr.

There's more to QB play than throwing the ball a bunch.

Those QB are game managers & not asked to do anything close to what Nuss was asked to do in the Tigers offense. Nuss was the LSU offense which happened to be pass heavy out of necessity. You are using a stat to try to make other QBs seem better than Nuss when your comparison is an apples to watermelon comparison.

Exactly, stat don't mean anything if you don't score in the red zone consistently or you end up punting the ball.

He probably doesn’t like Skattebo either - rushing attempts

Yet people harp on the interception

A lot of his interceptions are very poor decisions but that was not really his biggest issue this season

You’ll find that his standards change depending on the narrative he’s pushing so he can bash a player for something then turn around and dismiss it for another player.

That’s irrelevant when you miss wide open WRs. It’s not a matter of the defenses pressing the issue.

Same could be said about someone like Ashton Jeanty having so many rush yds… doesn’t really make it less impressive.
Not even close. Jeanty averaged almost 7 yards per carry. Nuss was at 7.7 per pass attempt.

Passing 7s is like a rushing 5s. Passing 8s are like rushing 6s. Pssing 9s are like rushing 7s. And anything over 8 for rushing and 10 for passing is super elite stuff.
