I’ll never forget the McMoral victories

I was at that Arky game. The excitement in the PMAC was palpable. People were all high fiving each other saying, "maybe we can keep the winning going."
Good times.
I really can't think of another highlight off the top of my head. That's sad.

He had some quality December victories, and if my math is correct, he went 43-9 in all games played in November and December. He won a holiday tournament this year in Destin with victories over Drake and DePaul. He beat Arkansas in his first SEC game and beat Kentucky in year 2. He showed a little progress in year 2 by going to the NIT. His players didn't make headlines off the court, at least none that I remember. All I got.

Favorite basketball memory was definitley that Arkansas win with a good crowd in the arena. I thought it was the start of something special. Ran into him once at Walgreens on Perkins/college and he talked with me for a few minutes and was sooo nice. When I asked for a picture he said sure and put everything in his hands on the ground for it.

His first SEC game vs Arkansas was cool. They were ranked 8, I think, and we won (they played like total arse, we kinda did too, but hey)

I traveled with the team to the Vanderbilt game this year. After returning home with the loss, he stood at the front of the plane to shake hands and thank everyone individually for coming. This is just one example of his being a quality human being. He has never made excuses. He just has not won. I wish him the best.

That is the evidence to rebut the BS narrative that LSU fans "never gave him a chance". That was a mid-week night game in late December when classes were out for the winter break. Yet, the fans and students showed up in really good numbers. Like someone else said, both teams played bad, but LSU played less bad, and one. Optimism was high. McMahon and the players went to the student section to give high-fives.
He then lost the next 14 straight games and 17 of the next 18, en route to a last place finish in the SEC. THAT is why the fans "stopped giving him a chance". Not some baseless lack of support
