I am not "anti-LSU" simply because I point out exactly what opposing defensive coordinators will do to LSU this year.

I think your comments are valid (and certainly not anti-LSU) just not your assesment of our players. I think we have more weapons that wahat has been shown as stated above. Or at least I sure hope so.

That's a fair point.

Miami does not have LSU's rb's

Maybe maybe not, they have great talent IMO

UM is very young!!

They will win the ACC soon!

Young talent everywhere and they winning in the trenches against UF

If you can pressure Tebow, you can beat UF, if you don't beat yourself

Um has given points off special teams errors

IF UF stacks the box against Hatch/Lee with no regard to down and distance it will be a mistake because of the talent at WR/TE. You don't need Jamarcus to throw it up to D. Byrd, Lafell, Toliver or Dickson 30-40 yards downfield after a play action to Scott. The most effective play last week was playaction pass to the tightend or playaction curls to the wideouts. with 9 in the box it leaves you even more susceptible to big plays utilizing playaction.

So you think 5-7 Miami and 12-2 LSU are suddenly equal at the other 10 positions (besides QB) this year.

Huh? I must have misunderstood you.

You make some good points 312, but we arent Miami. We have a little more talent among our players, especially the defense. Your right in that if we cant throw we will lose. That goes for nearly any team. But the question is, can we throw good enough to get by. Our QB arent terrible, just inexperienced. Give em some time and lets see what happens. This wont be like the last few years. To win this year, we will have to have stellar defense every game. So if our QB can do just enough to give our defense some cushion we should be just fine.

True. Miami is doing a great job of varying their defensive fronts.

Miami made a lot of stupid mistakes. They could have made it a closer game. Florida doesn't make too many mistakes. Miami missed their window of opportunity in the ACC. FSU will own it again soon.

Jermaine Thomas 13 rushes 91 yards, 2 touchdowns
Dvo Richardson 4 rushes for 68 yards 2 touchdowns
Antone Smith 7 rushes for 46 yards 1 touchdown
C. Ponder 3 rushes 39 yards one touchdown
Superman Jones 2 rushes 24 yards
B. Reed 1 rush 13 yards
Surrat 1 rush 7 yards
Taiwan Easterling 1 rush 3 yards

Qarterback Christian Ponder 11 of 17 for 196 yards and 3 TDs
Quarterback D. Richardson 5 of 6 for 56 yards and one TD
Weatherford 1 for 2 for 18 yards.

Reed 3 for 77 one TD
Carr 3 for 67 one TD
Owens 4 for 61
Fortson 2 for 20 one TD
Wade C. 1 for 18 yards
Surrency 2 for 14 yards one TD
Reliford 1 for 8 yards
Easterling 1 for 6 yards

290 yards rushing and 271 yards passing for 561 yards of total offense with only 24 first downs for a 69-0 victory over Western Carolina.

Correct ... I would welcome 9 in the box against our WRs and TE. That leaves the corners on an island against Byrd and Lafell, and a Safety against Dickson ... I'll take those matchups on every play.

I didn't realize Miami runs Crowton's spread offense. Did anyone notice how Miami played defense against Tebow?

Miami lacks a physical offenive line and proven wr's. If Florida or anyone else stacks the line, they will pay. One on one coverage on wr is a DB's worse nightmare against us, and they will pay.

This was a tight game for 3 quarters. There were times when I thought Miami could win it but they had a pure freshman quarterback starting his first game. They should have gone downfield earlier tried to get them out of the box.

I get a feeling Tebow is tired of all the hits also. When they were leaving alone in the backfield with seven man fronts facing him he looked to be complaining a bit on the sidelines.

UF will run out of gas again this year and lose four or five. I look for a big party when they come to Doak. Miami may not be able to score but FSU can.

If you watched the whole game and not just 30 min of it, you would see that Miami started moving the ball suprisingly well for such a bad offense. They really exposed some weaknesses of Florida's defense with their rollout passes... hrm... doesn't Hatch like to rollout and throw well on the run?

say what you will, the difference is that crowton is here now and not jimbo

and mr. seminole (or semi-hole) if you think an incoming class of freshmen is going to take over the acc, then the acc sucks worse than i thought.

He threw a 48 yard pass to Byrd that was not lead quite enough....so yes, he can throw it 40.

You don't need 40 yard passes though to beat a 8-9 man front.
