For BK it meant a vacation to the Virgin Islands

Now that we have, in my opinion, a master planner, we have reversed the advantage of the extra time to prepare. I’m looking forward to the change.
I used Grok to look up Kiffin’s record after bye weeks while at OM (take this FWIW)
5-3 (regular-season games immediately after a bye week under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss, 2020–2025)
Summary
• Overall after byes: 5-3
• Against ranked opponents: 2 games (both losses to Alabama in 2021 and 2022)
Kiffin’s Ole Miss teams were solid coming out of byes against unranked foes (5-1) but went 0-2 against ranked teams in those spots. Note that 2020 had a COVID-shortened, conference-only schedule, and 2024–2025 each had two byes.
Wins against:
South Carolina
Auburn
Oklahoma
Washington St
Mississippi State
Two losses were to bama and one to Florida

BK’s inept bs
BK's bye week meant two a days at the country club for an extra 7 days!
Seriously, looking forward for Weeks to get back on the field and to heal up Harris, Leavitt, and Cooley.

them. But, it did not scheme how to offset Sagan’s ability to find a way to gain an advantage.

Unfortunately, Miles offense was predicated doing strength on strength. Alabama's D-line was two yards in our backfield to stop Fornette on the toss diver , over and over and over... Arkansas had good lines back then and Miles did the same stupid thing. Ultimately, the game at Lambeau was the end of Miles and his stubbornness. But we could beat up lesser teams fairly easily.
