Modern linebackers are freak athletes more than big tough thumpers of old. Louisiana has freak athletes.

Considering Chavis stopped recruiting and left us with a hole there that's really impressive. And we missed on a 5 star as well that couldn't handle the heat. I think he was from Ohio.

Not as much as you might think, My Man, and that perception is changing by the day.
New sheriff in town, you see.

Maybe some of that capital can be turned into a few championships.

The amazing thing about this is most all of these guys came in as undersized and not highly rated. White and Phillips are about the only ones that came in physically ready to play. Most spent most of the early part of their career on special teams as they got bigger and stronger.

The last ten seasons would include 3 of Chief's and one with Kevin Steele.

They too were very good LB position coaches.

I’d be curious to find out if any of those from Bama that are in the league are from Louisiana. It sure seemed like one of their recent defenses was littered with Louisiana kids. I knew we had a lot of linebackers in the NFL but that’s a lot more than I would have guessed. Odd thing is a lot of the LSU ones truly showing out in the NFL turned it on later in their collegiate careers. I went to an Atlanta vs Tampa game 4-5 years ago to watch a little football and was amazed that the fastest guys on the field all seemed to be former LSU linebackers. Kwon Alexander looked like a cheetah out there chasing down gazelle.

two, both from U high.

Christian Harris & Tim Williams.
Just a quick reminder that Dylan Moses wasn't drafted

More like Louisiana is just not an OL and QB state, historically speaking.
