How well would a flea flicker have gone with Pocic being thrown backwards into the tailback before he could even turn to pitch the ball?

The game once again came down to fact that the staff has not developed a passing game that utilizes all three passing concepts:short, intermediate, and deep. Bama sold out to stop the run and once that was taken away we had nothing we could consistently execute that was effective. Also bothers me they refuse to pass across the middle of the field except when they go deep. I understand they are trying to minimize mistakes but against a defense of that caliber you have to take chances to keep them off balance.

Seriously, just become a Bama fan since LSU can't quite stand up to your 12-0 demands.

Apparently Lord Saban doesn't deserve to be the HC at LSU either since he lost 2 hole games last year and already has 1 in the L column this year!! The only coach good enough for some of these idiots would be .........well im having trouble coming up with a coach that never lost any games and won it all every year???? Hell Bama should fire Saban considering hes lost back to back games to ole miss - I mean jesus even Memphis can beat them lol.

Les will win enough to keep his job but not enough to make the playoffs. He will have to earn every penny of that 4mil to get this team prepared to finish strong

Okay, well can you give me some stock investment advice since you can predict the future? Also, how did Les make it to the NC game in 2011 and win a NC in 2007 if he isn't able to finish the season as a top 4 school? Was he just lucky? Did he somehow lose his ability to do this after the 2011 season? Does he just not care anymore? Please enlighten me oh wise one.

He was pretty lucky that year. 2011 was dominant until 1/9.

because there are so many other coaches who beat Saban on a consistent basis

That's right. It's impossible for anyone to beat Saban. That's why Alabama keeps going undefeated every year.

Yep, cause there's no middle ground at all between losing five in a row and winning every game and winning the NC every year.

LSU has finished in the top 10 in the final rankings twice in the last eight years, assuming (which I think we can safely do at this point) that we don't this year. We haven't won a major (BCS or equivalent) bowl since 2007.

We have gone into the final two SEC games of the year with a reasonable chance of winning the division once in the last eight years.

Nobody expects to win it every year, but we should be winning our share, or at least seriously contending most of the time.

As for Alabama, you'd really have to stretch the boundaries of believability at this point to think that we will ever beat them again while Miles is at LSU and Saban is at Alabama. Since the last time we beat them, they have lost to Texas A&M, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss twice and Ohio State. There's no reason we shouldn't expect to perform as well against Alabama as those teams. Not winning them all isn't the same as losing them all. We're doing the latter right now.

That way you can beat Bama and still lose 3 or 4 games a year. sounds like a great plan.

didnt know Miles went 10-1 or 11-1 every year, Whats LSU's conference record the last 3 years? plus Miles did not build LSU, Saban did. What was Ole Miss like before Freeze got there? I believe he has built them into a very respectable program

We only threw the ball 19 times. How do you explain that?

By pointing out that we actually threw it 23 and ran it 24?

Should I also point out that we didn't "run it up the middle" every time we ran too? Or that we actually ran sweeps and zone read plays as well? And that no matter what play you call, when the entire defensive line is 2 yards in the backfield every play, you aren't going to have much success running the ball at all?

Quote of the year

If it were going to happen, this would have been the year. Our best team in four years against their worst in four years, a once-in-a-generation player for us, a decent to pretty good QB for once, a more flawed than usual Alabama team; it was all lined up better for us than it has been in years, and better than it likely will be again while both coaches are still around.

And we not only couldn't win, we couldn't even stay on the field with them. It ain't happening.

I'm as frustrated as anyone that we have lost to Bama 5 years in a row but getting rid of Les is not the answer.

Let's face it we have a great team and better than most.

The truth is this loss has established Miles as Saban's whipping boy. It will be for years to come until he leaves Alabama.

Skip Bertman is partly responsible for creating this monster Saban has become playing us.

Even before the season started i thought '16 tigers are going to be much better after Harris gets a year under his belt and Fournette will have 2. Lots of O-line returning. We will be a much better team next year.
