Because the last time the first game of the season was a night game was...... last year in Dallas. Before that....2010 in Atlanta.
As other's have said, last years home opener was a night game. Also, 2010's home opener was at night (6:00) 2009's home opener was a night (6:00)
May want to get that ole noggin checked out. That short-term memory seems to be dissapearing.

This years game against UNT will be the first home opener at night since ULL in 2006.
2007- miss st on the road
2008- appt st at 10am
2009- UW on the road
2010- UNC in Atlanta
2011- Dallas vs Oregon.
