6 Innings
103 pitches
4 hits
10 Ks
1 walk

Could have easily been 2 hits only with a little bit of help on 2 of Altuve's hits.

He baited the hell out of the ump. Had him calling pitches 3-6 inches off the plate.
He has also picked up velocity on that fastball and his change is unbelievable now. Looked great.

Dropped his ERA in the last 7 starts from 4.76 on 6/16 to 3.17. That's freaking impressive.

I thought you were talking about the city of New Orleans when I first saw the title.

Ben McDonald was the most talented pitcher LSU ever had but Nola had the best career imo.

And he ended sharp, could have thrown 30 more pitches if game wasn't out of hand

Nola especially impressive against the Astro's which lead MLB in scoring by 50 runs over the next best team. I like Kade and he is now the Braves 3rd or 4th catcher in their organization.

I call this statement pretty, darn accurate. Nola's last two season were incredible. In 2014 he knew he had to go out on Friday night, get into the 8th inning, and give up 2 runs or less or LSU might lose the series. He was nails every time.

Stros were scoring 7.9 runs per game in month of July before last night. He got plenty of help with a wide zone and exploited the hell out of it. His command was incredible. I think a stat flashed across the screen that he has the lowest ERA in the NL outside of Kershaw since the ASB.

I'll say it again: if they score runs for him he will win a Cy Young.

Not this year obviously , but very soon. Their farm system is loaded with hitters.

He was over 100 pitches already...no way they are going to overwork him in any game this year since they are about 50 games out of the playoff race. Nola is their ace for the next 10 years and they are going to take very good care of him.

ok, 30 pitches was an overstatement, but he definitely had another inning in him if it was needed

Not taking anything away from Nola, but the Astro's had 3 starters out of the game, Correa, Springer and Bregman.
