No reason for Keiland to be in Miles' doghouse

Some quotes from the Shreveport Times article I found on the internet.

quote:

"I am fine. I am good," Williams said Monday. He said he did not get angry when Ridley got the call over him in the Alabama game after Scott went down.

"Not really. I am not going to sit here and get frustrated," he said. "If I am sitting on the sideline wondering why I am not touching the ball, then I'll get in there and miss the opportunity given to me. Then that's on me."

quote:

"I don't know," Williams said, refusing to say anything critical. "I guess we will see how everything goes throughout the week. We will see on Saturday how it comes. I told myself this year I wouldn't let anything frustrate or bother me. I am kind of rolling with the punches, and whatever happens happens."

I would be extremely surprised if the whole "Keiland is in Miles's doghouse" rumor is true. Quotes like these lead me to believe that Keiland has a very positive attitude. I don't know why he hasn't gotten more carries. When he has gotten carries, he has always played well.

KW is overrated. His quotes are basic, rehearsed answers in media language. He probably wants to say something else.

Was awesome as a freshman. His bust out year was dominated by Hester. But Hester played well.

KW dances too much, doesn't hit the hole with authority. He has poor vision as well.

heard from a bird that both kw & sr fumble every day at practice and this is why faith in them is shaky.

He will get is chance to shine starting this week. I believe he will put up the numbers when given the carries. It is now his turn, let him make it happen! I, for one, complained when he didn't get those carries in the Tulane game. If that would have been KW instead of Ridley, we would not be questioning his ability. The man can run, give him his due! The inspiration will come from his fallen brothers. Do not deny him the chance.

Most of KW carries are on the option play that we don't run well with Jefferson in the game. I feel that if he got touches like a true running back gets, he would do fine.

Not this Keiland Williams fumble shite again, I thought we were smarter than that now.

How many times is this going to get posted?

We have 4 years of watching him. For those that dont see it -he is an inconsistent back at best. He has poor vision and doesn't run very hard or break tackles. He has had his chances...this has nothing to do with a doghouse or whatever, damn!

At this point in the season I say give Ridley the reps. He will be a big time playa for us next year, so lets go ahead and give him some reps so he can prepare for next year.q

some say keiland dances too much, which is sometimes true. think about it this way though, his o line sucks, so he's dancing trying to find some room to run. and those carries listed above, how many of those were options to the short side of the field with a qb that doesnt know how to run the option? too many. he's just not given enough carries to get in a rhythym. its one carry this week, one carry in the first quarter and then fourth quarter the next week, no continuity. i know we have a plethora of talent, but scott as much as i love him, doesnt always get it done. they need to ditch the option, and use keiland and ridley a lot more. but what do i know, im just a rantard like you guys

If Crowton will give him the dish more then 2x a game, he might get going. Jesus, it has been frustrating having to watch him sit on the sidelines since 2006. He was good enough to start over JV, Fat Alley, and Hester his freshman year...but alas, Jimbo was OC then.

He's averaging 4.8 yards per carry this year.

He has averaged over 5.6 ypc over his career.

That's good enough to earn more carries than he's been given. If I were a d coordinator against LSU I would love to see Kdub coming in the game because I would instantly know it's a pass.

Our RB talent hasn't been utilized well this year.

Which is why Crowton has lost a ton of cool points since 2007. Seriously, I was told two years ago that he wouldn't run the ball by Arnie Spagnier on his show and I told him he was crazy. I guess Arnie knew that we'd shuck the ball everywhere.
