No one on this board is qualified enough to question Les Miles.

In response to all the grumblings about JJ starting last Saturday.

Les Miles is a national champion head coach with a 72-17 at LSU (100 wins in his career). He has lead his team through one of the toughest schedules in recent memory so far to a 10-0 record. I think it's safe to say that Les has more knowledge, experience, and talent than any of the armchair coaches who spend their days posting on TD.com.

Thus, if Les deems it necessary for JJ to play, then I don't think any of us have room to question his motives or his reasoning.

Short story long... quit bitching.

So we should never question coaches decisions? This board would be fun

To question his every decision when you don't understand the thought process behind those decisions is absurd and illogical... "fun" or not.

I am an assistant coach on a 5-8 grade youth team that won 3 championships in a row. I think that qualifies me.

You have to look no further than the name of this board to qualify the latest banter. It's called the rant for a reason. Get over it.

How about that day in oxford in 09?
how about that day last year in BR vs tenn?

I doubt anyone on this board is qualified to question Houston Nutt.

Les is a genius. Les is a guru.

Les is a zen master.

Les in the 50th incarnation of Sun Tzu.

Les's opinion is certainly entitled to great weight, but he's not infallible.

You're right. Les has learned nothing in the last 2 years. Coaches don't evolve. They are born with clock mismanagement issues which are incurable.

...also, would you have done a better job in either instance?

Never said he was. But who here has the knowledge necessary to know when to question him, let alone what to question him about? Even the greatest football minds on earth are not in the locker room and they are not on the sidelines. The point is, since Les plays his cards so close to the chest, we really have no idea what is going on.

thats not even remotley what I am saying and you know it.

You made a stupid blanket fricking statement and I called you on it, with examples.

LM would prob be the first to admit he isnt perfect.

Wrong. This is a message board. We are posters. We are qualified to rant.

We are not qualified to coach.

Big difference.

The fail is yours. It's coach's, for the thread title refers to one coach, Les Miles, not the whole coaching staff.

With two examples which are not pertinent to Les as a coach now. Do you know more about your job than you did last year or the year before?
