Pretty much everything that is in the paid parking area will have plenty of receptacles for trash and recycle.
So, you're pretty much advocating that everybody clean up after themselves, thus depriving those folks whose job it is to clean up an opportunity to make their paper?
In this economy? That's heartless.

Don't worry. I'll still throw my cigarette butts on the ground.

At $40 to park 1 mile away from the stadium I would expect someone to walk around behind me and pickup my trash for me.
For all the bitching about the money to park, people like yourself would have been better off finding places close enough that don't force you to pay. I did zero research and we found a spot near Kirby fine and didn't pay a dime.

Tell everyone that tailgates on the RR tracks side of Nicholson between Burbank and Nicholson ext. Looks like mardi gras there every game day.

No one even appreciated my subtle pun.
I did, Dan - nice one.

Find another place to tailgate then. Or figure out a way to muster up a whole 40 bucks between four or five people. Is it really that difficult to figure out a way to pay 40 bucks? It's ten bucks a person in a carpool which is not eating out for lunch one day a week.

Indeed it does.
New Orleans measures the success of Mardi Gras by the amount of trash they have to pick up.
Trash in Louisiana means a party is going on.
Sorry for partying...

Aside from the OP, nobody is telling you not to throw your trash on the ground. They're just telling you that it's now costing you 40 bucks.

Just pick up your trash, nothing you wouldn't ask others to do if they were in your yard

Isn't trash what inmates are for ?

it's what we have inmates for

I don't like the trash, but the inmates take care of it, so I don't get too bent out of shape about it. That said, people leaving small shite (cigarette buts, bottle tops, etc) that the inmates don't pick up pisses me off.
I understand that a large portion of LSU fans didn't attend LSU and therefore see "a big open space next to the stadium to party!" as opposed to "our campus that we should take pride in" but I still find it generally disrespectful.
