Not accepting an NIT bid because a player on the team refused to play is quitting on the team. Plain and simple...

I was hoping that Wade would have some success with Coach Jones' players.

Isn't this kinda arguing against yourself... 1. Key contributors on this team wouldn't be here if not for Wade and 2. The fact that a coach is performing markedly better with a roster of leftovers is not a good look for the previous coach.

Also, no way JJ would have gotten the #3 recruiting class for next year,he'd have gotten Smart but that's it

If Wade does as well as I think he might do next year, I'll be 100% behind him. He will prove that he is the kind of coach that some of the fanbase think he is.

Coach Jones is a friend and I like and respect him. Wade will get the same kind of respect when he shows he is the coach that he says he is.

I'm not against Wade, I'm against the fan hype that has anointed him the next Nick Saban. He has an enthusiasm I like. But, he needs to have some success against good teams.

I think we'll get that next year.

You literally actively root against him and say this team isn't any better than last year's which objectively isn't true

Johnny Jones was NEVER a competent HC, anywhere.....

He and Dale Brown put our MBB Program in a HOLE and one that we are still striving to climb out of........

He and Dale Brown are truly persona non grata!

Anyone with the sense God gave a goose knows about the utter incompetence and political patronage that led him back to LSU, an appalling decision.

For that and many other reason: Why is Joe Aleva still AD at LSU and please don't say $'s-Generated, Cane III, the new mascot Golden Retreiver, could be AD and money would come gushing from LSU FB and SEC affiliation!!

So a winning, successful coach realizes what a great asset Coach Jones would be to his team?

Coach Musselman's opinion means way more than the opinions posted here.

Unlike O and Ensminger, someone with a highly successful program wanted Coach Jones to join the team.

It's past your bed time, Dale.

I didn't know Johhny Jones apologists were still out there/existed? I mean there is truly someone for everyone.
I know Brady had a dozen apologists in the mid 00's, but damn.

Are there still people who think we should have kept DiNardo and Smoke?

NIT Bracketology- LSU #3 Seed

The last couple of year's I have followed that website and their NIT projections...and they are woefully inept at their predictions, so I wouldn't put a lot of stock into what they have there.

With that said, I would love for this team to get some more wins and go to the NIT. It can only help the program going forward.

And I still stand by the unpopular opinion that the Ben Simmons team had no business continuing that season in the NIT. That whole situation was an internal train wreck and that season needed to end when it did.

Currently 12-9, 3-6 with 9 regular season games plus at least 1 SECT game

16-15 is minimum to possibly get in.
17-14 or 17-15 would likely get in.

So 5 wins are needed (4 regular season plus 1 SECT or 5 regular season).

Aren't the 9 teams LSU has played mostly all in the top half of the conference? And doesn't that mean the majority of the 9 games coming up should be theoretically easier? Or am I wrong here?

Say breh, everyone thinks ALL of your posts suck.

And yeah arse frick, he's the fricking head coach and he declined the NIT. If we had five able bodies we should have went play in that tournament..... Which we did. That was a real shitty send-off to the seniors on that team.

Well, there are no games against Auburn, UK and Tenn but there are games with Florida and Alabama. Overall, it should be slightly more favorable for wins.

Vandy, Ole Miss, Mizzou, and Miss St are the ones they need to win. All those are at home. Arkansas is the other home game, and if they don't win that one Saturday they will need to pull an upset on the road against UF, Bama, UGA, or USC. Or they could win the fifth game in round one of the SECT.

I agree with this completely. People say JJ quit on his team by turning down the NIT bid. Did anyone who claims this watch the SECT semi-final matchup vs aTm? That team had everything still to play for, win the SECT and you make the NCAAT, so can anyone tell me with a straight face that team didn't quit that day for aTm? If they couldn't be up for that game, why the frick would they have gotten up for an NIT game? They quit long before turning down an NIT invite

Let’s be honest. We didn’t decline the NIT. We didn’t get invited
