Not enough players? Why haven't they declared that they are entering the portal?
I think it will be more embarrassing to decline than accept the bid and lose in the first round. Actually, I think they will do pretty good in the NIT. They won't have to face any SEC teams - except maybe SC later on.
Can you imagine a LSU vs. South Carolina NIT Final?

So I guess it’s true that some players quit and are 100% gone. How is it that this increase of NIL money would not secure any of those guys? Thought it was all about the money now.

By not accepting a bid, that fully validates all the McMahon memes-- chicken, coward, wimp, lily-livered, milktoast.

If that's true - that mirrors what we did after the Ben Simmons year and that was the most obvious case I've ever seen of a coach that had completely lost all respect and was maybe the most emasculated coach I'd ever seen at LSU in any sport - even more than Curley, and we gave him another year.
I had an old history professer at LSU whose big thing was that history was cyclical. If what you say is right - he was right.
