The uniform itself I am sure will not be worn again. The material on the otherhand will. That is the whole idea around this. Nike just wanted the unvailing of the material to be a little more extravigant that is why the Uni's change for that one game only.

At the very least, LSU sould request that Nike produce a full sized replica version of both our current uniforms designs utilizing the new copperish gold from the helmets used against Arkansas so that they could see what they'd look like if that color was adopted. I've always been a big fan of LSU's yellow/gold, but I really REALLY preferred the old gold used for the Pro Combat helmet. I did not like the new uniform style, as it threw LSU's look completely out of the window to achieve it (meaning we no longer looked like LSU...which is not a good thing.)
I'd love to see a version of our traditional gold/white/gold uniform just like it is today, but with the new gold color...I think it would give a great weight to the uniform.

Waste of time. LSU is not switching/adopting the old gold/copper color, no matter how much all you "Fashion Merchandising" majors want it. The Canary Yellow is too engrained as the LSU athletic team color.
Nike may very well produce the traditional LSU uniform with the lighter Pro Combat material though. They need to do something about those poor fitting Nike baggy "Potato Sack" jersies they're using now in any case........

Nike had 11 teams wear them at the end of the year. It was originally meant as a one-time thing before the official, full unveiling of the Pro-Combat line for next season. Also, all 11 teams have the option of wearing these unis in the future. Miami and VT have both worn their Pro Combat unis multiple times this year. I don't think any of the other teams have. But for Miami, they get net unis practically every year so I suspect they'll have these next year or something pretty similar.
Hell, even Florida wore their Pro Combat helmets in the SEC championship game.

Not at all crazy. I think we have one of the top 5 uniforms in all of college football. No need to change them.
I liked the pro combats as a 1-time "throwback" uniform...but that's it.

FWIW, I gues no one really knows what happened to the Unis after the game. There were post on here that Nike loaded them back up after the game and took them back. The week after the game there was an auction for a Replica one one e bay (Jersey, Helmet, Cleats autographed by miles and Joseph A). In a locker. It sold for like 3 grand. Nikes web site said that the unis were to be auctioned off to raise money for kids to have Christmas in Urban areas. It didnt say if it was all or just the one so I dont know where the rest are. There is alot of sarcasm on this board so u never really know whats true or not. LSUSPORTS.net did auction off one of the helmets but i havent seen any more since. Id like to see them again

We still have uni's. Nike doesn't take them back, only the ones that we never wore(black jersey's). I know I'll be wearing my pro combat gloves that day.

We look much better in purple jerseys. White is vanilla and boring as hell. And we need to bring back the black cleats that Dinardo favored.

no, that basically means everything will have to change. i like wearing yellow, dont want to go out and buy a bunch of gold shite now. we have awesome unis already.
