when going to war, you have to look like you're powerful, too.

It's a cool concept with the new fabrics, but all it is really is a money maker for that infamous swoop.

I agree. The only way I'd be pissed is if this was being suggested as a permanent change.

LSU probably got paid for this so who cares.

Definitely should be purple pants. White on white is lame.

I think all of them are sweet and I believe that next year, many teams will sport the new Pro Combat uniforms but keep the same color schemes and so forth. I would like to see LSU do this, but keep the yellow pants and white jerseys and same helmets, just a fresher uniform though thats really light weight.

Every team in college football needs lighter weight and better fitting jerseys. Not one of the uniform manufacturers seem to have a clue on how to do this. (Nike-Adidas-UnderArmour-Russell Athletic-Reebok) Jeff Boss had Nike re-engineer the LSU jerseys to be tighter and more form fitting back in the Saban years, but now Stringfellow has us back in the poor fitting "baggy-bunched up-wrinkled material in the shoulder/sleeve" look again.

Keeping the "recent" traditional LSU Canary Yellow color scheme (since the 60's) with an updated, better fitting and more functional jersey would be preferable. The old gold helmets with white and white for just one game would be acceptable if somebody can produce a historical photo of LSU wearing old gold helmets with solid white jerseys and pants. I know we used to wear old gold helmets, but I don't think we wore them with white and white.

I do know 80-90% of the fanbase wont like those and if we wear em against R-Kansas and lose, all hell will break out, especially if we beat Ole Miss and have a chance for 10 wins.

to lighter and better fitting.
to a new color scheme without historical evidence that LSU actually used to wear OG with White and White.......

always liked the idea of traditional gold

Problem is "traditional gold" is not one of LSU's official colors...its Sunflower Gold....or something like that

Stick with what we have!

How the hell do those unis say "team of the future"? Especially when the helmet is supposed to be a "throwback" look!

it you look at the other schools that get them they are all elite programs.

When did TCU become an elite program?

but no, we have a bunch of dumbass fans that hate change. the probably all still use rotary phones.

ive always wanted LSU to go to a more royal purple and true gold,

Again, those aren't even the school's colors so how the hell could it be the uniform colors!

nothing would make me happier than to hear that nike will take over our uniforms

Wow, have you ever actually seen our unis?!!! Nike already does our uniforms and has for years..what an idiot! Learn before you speak.

They may be ranked higher than us now, but that is the highest they have ever been ranked. I am not saying they aren't good this year....notice I said this year....but to be in the "elite" category a team has to be better than good for a sustained period of time that extends at least a couple of years....maybe even longer according to some

Yeah seriously are we gonna have a wet t shirt contest or hottest hunk on the team. Just a publicity stunt for Nike to make some cheddar. Life is good for Nike. I like how they make something heroic into greenbacks.

I'm positive LSU has never worn a white on white combination

positive it's very un-original looking

positive the fan back-lash will be sky-high

positive the "players" had nothing to do with the design so who knows if they like it or not

positive Nike sucks donkey penis

positive: I have nothing against occasional changes such as the Katrina relief jersey or this one.

I like the more metallic gold helmet and belive that to have some historical connecttion.

I will also be positive in hoping that the remainder of the uni is not what the team will wear against the Hogs.

These are not "throw-back" uniforms...LSU has never worn white jerseys with white pants.
