This is even less likely. He's never shown any indication he wants that role, but especially not here and with the chaos right now. Does he strike you as someone who wants to get further away from actual football?

If he wanted an administrative politicking job, he could pretty much name his position and salary in a national position either with the NCAA or in the political realm.

Not saying it would work, but his last game at Bama, they were a blown snap away from going to the National Chapionship that they would have won.

Key to getting Nick won’t be how much you pay him, it will be what’s your funding for NIL and what’s the plan to get the best players at LSU. Saban has generational wealth already. Yes, just like almost everybody, you never have too much money, but as you age, time becomes more valuable than money. The only way to tempt him to scratch that itch to continue coaching is to insure him he will get the best roster.

He will NOT be the coach at LSU or any other school. He is happy in retirement.

Saban would tarnish is legacy and he does not need the money. In what world would he at 74 years old go get back in the hell hole that he left. He left for a reason and those reasons still exist!!

Not saying he would or wouldnt go back to coaching but one that I've always heard him say, his favorite thing he loved about coaching was to be able to mold and develop young men. Well he ain't doing that behind that desk. Maybe, just maybe he still has that itch to build up and develop football players, on and off the field.

Because he doesn’t see it as a he’ll hole, he sees it as an opportunity to do what he has done his whole life. Many people retire only to realize that they just needed a break and at their core they want to continue doing what they’ve always done. Some guys are just coaches and that’s what they want to do. Hell, Pete Jenkins is in his 80s and still doing camps for NFL, high school and working with College Dline coaches. He’s gonna do it till he physically can’t. Saban looks uncomfortable on the set of Gameday and I think would rather be on the sideline somewhere than sitting next to Pat M. Guess we will see.

If you're expecting Saban to LSU to happen, much less be successful, you're crazy. The game had passed him by
His last game was the national championship game, which he was a muffed snap away from winning.

You're confusing a desire to avoid bullshite with an inability to deal with bullshite.

What’s even saying is that now? He can’t out recruit other people for high school players and develop them. The game has changed you gotta buy

So until the university shows that they’re willing to actually help him do that

He’s not interested

I can tell you that the competitor and him still burns

If he wants to coach, he’s going to coach at a place where he can win and the only way you can win is to have money to buy players

So if he gets an understanding from an administration that that is in place

You just never know what he might do

is there anyone here who can possibly interpret this?

Talent must be bought in today’s environment

Alignment with an administration means they fully understand this reality and are committed to provide it

That’s what defines a great job
