solid qb play.

And who RECRUITS the QBs. Who coaches the QBs? Who assembles the staff (OC etc.)? Who has TWO JUNIORS that still don't get it?

hmmm...

I've got nothing bad to say about Nick Saban. We are far better off for having had him as our coach for 5 years. Yes - he didn't leave on the best of terms, and coming back to the SEC was like a kick in the nuts, but on the basis of what he did for the program, he was good for LSU.

Yep. I scream at him and hope for Alabama to lose every game. All the while knowing, he's the best coach in the country and it's not close. But we have a "WANT" to beat him.

Finally the people who can see the big picture are stepping up. It's not a coincidence that after one year at Alabama, they went to the SEC championship. It took him 1 year people. They hadn't been since 1999. Know your facts.

So that means you will, trash, degrade and slander every coach lsu has like you do now because they aren't Saban?

I do have a problem with you saying miles isn't responsible for any success since Saban left. That is a load of crap. I got news for you, not just ANYONE can come in and recruit at lsu. It takes skill and personality. If you know anything about lsu's past other than Saban and miles you would know recruiting doesn't come easy.

I'd also like to add how ridiculous the Saban's players argument people use when describing our 2007 national championship. You mean to tell me that saban's coaching was responsible for that? Three years removed from the team? That is the most ridiculous argument of them all.

Jackson, if that's why you feel so much love for Saban you must have a gigantic shrine dedicated to Huey Long somewhere in your house.

Thing is, he's not doing any of those nice things for Louisiana State University anymore. He's doing those things for another school in direct competition with LSU. You can respect him all you want, while he's slitting your throat the whole time, if you want. That seems sad to me.

Thanks Nick -
for announcing you were leaving the week of a bowl game.
for lying through your teeth to every LSU fan/player that you hoped to finish your career at LSU
for doing the unthinkable and taking a job at Alabama after coaching at LSU
for being a solid all around unapologetic prick.

No one is saying he coached the team. What NATIONALLY RESPECTED WRITERS always refer to is that he stock piled such a good team, it was very difficult not to be successful. Our 2006 team had four first round draft picks on it. All of which he put there.

2) We started paying our assistants top 10 salaries in the country. Do you remember who started that?

3)Miles choked the 2007 final game by letting the Michigan distractions become a factor. We've been over this.

In reference to this quote, please see my earlier post about the facilities. Saban changed our recruiting because of the football operations center and Cox student athlete complex. I can give you the emails of people who were there. He set up the meetings and actually designed a lot of the complex. Please know the facts before you get bent out of shape that Miles isn't him.

I would prefer a coach like Saban. One who focuses on discipline during games. I like the Parcells, Cowher, & Saban demeanor. That's my preferred style. Wade Phillips and Miles' don't have it. Their players always "like" them but that's not my preference. I would rather have a little fear with respect.

What did I just say? I hope that he loses every game he coaches since he doesn't help us anymore. I hate Alabama. But the reason everybody gets so amped up about this, is because they know he's good. If he sucked, we would be thankful and there would be no passion behind our statements about him.

Most cfb fans didn't know who the guy was before he came to LSU. So, I would say LSU brought him to an elite level. He should thank us.

while this is absolutely true, it would be ignorant to deny that he had no part in our recent rise of success. we used each other to gain power. it was nice. i appreciated it. i wished him all the success in the world while he was at lsu (obviously) and even though he fricked us over to head to miami i wished him success there. he then fricked them over to go to our biggest in-conference in-division rival, ehh frick him. not necessarily because of those past events (though they dont necessarily help) but because he is now coaching at the affore-mentioned rival. fuk any coach of bama.

just as if miles left us to go coach auburn or florida he would become the enemy.

i will never praise the works saban does at alabama but i will acknowledge him as a worthy adversary.

There is more to being 'great' than achieving great results. Ghengis Kahn achieved great results as did Adolph Hitler, Alexander the Great and Julius Ceasar. Stalin was pretty effective as is Castro, Chavez and Il.

It bothers me that people see the end result and don't contemplate the process by which it came to be. Saban is a tyrant coaching a football team. A self absorbed, self centered, egotistical tyrant.

The man has no integrity whatsoever when it comes to keeping his word or showing any hint of loyalty, to anyone.

He lied to LSU. He lied to the Miami Dolphins and soon, he will break the special needs heart of every Gump on the planet...it's nothing more than a matter of time.

LSU is a clean, moral program with outstanding young men and coaches that consistently demonstrate the highest level of integrity. I don't and will not give him any credit for that, nor should anyone else.

He actually went 13-3 his FIRST (wonder why?) year and it's gone down hill since then.

13-3 Won Division
9-7
11-5 Won Division

Hmm...who does that sound like. As Parcells players and coaches left, the team got worse. Hmm....

I never said Saban wasnt a good coach you are the one getting bent out of shape that people aren't bowing down to Saban 24/7 like you. Revisionist history with people like you is getting out of control. News flash, Saban lost games too. He lost games he shouldn't have also. You are acting like he did no wrong. I remember sitting in tiger stadium when We were shut out by Bama under him and traveling to blacksburg and getting curb stomped by tech. You need to realize not everything was perfect under Saban.
