SEC title game win and a beatdown in the Sugar Bowl. IMO the SECOND best team in the country at years end. 2002 Was a different story. Started out nice but Mauck gets hurt and they DID struggle. But It set up perfect for 20032. What a GREAT coaching job by Saban. The D was amoungst the BEST EVER IN college football. The next year was a so-called rebuilding year with ALL the losses from 2003. Not what Saban wanted , but hey he had his sights set on his dream job. DID NPOT go about it the right way. Shame on him. However what he left here at LSU is not doing as good as when he WAS here.
I was in my 30's in 2000. Check my profile if you think that's a big deal.

NO I am not . READ my post. I said he did ALOT of things for LSU besides Wand L's. Are you gonna tell me LSU did not improve as a whole with him here???? YOU would be the fool if yo say no.

seriously? he was coming off a 9 win season at michigan state and was widely regarded as THE up and coming coach in college football

I don't argue that Saban is a great coach... probably the best in the country. However, I do argue this thread embarassing. I was a student during the entire Saban era. I appreciate his contribution, but I'm not going to obsess about him...especially during BAMA game week. Go jerk off to Nick on the SEC board with the gumps.

Ok, look...we have different views of the man. I don't care for him regardless of what he did for LSU. In fact, I think LSU did as much for him as he did for the school.
And, no thread stays on point.. you know that.
As you grow older and experience what a lack of integrity does to an organization you will see my point. We did improve under Saban but I would direct you back to my earlier posts where I talked about world leaders who were also successful in their conquests.

Ive never said that...i just don't kiss a guys arse that left 6 years ago and now coaches at a rival school. No sense in it.
And i can't wait til Miles wins his next SEC championship and NC so you we can stop hearing his name.
