BK will be fired himself in another year so it doesn’t matter

I wish you were right but unfortunately we’re stuck with him.

BK has still not addressed Nick personally

Not surprising in the slightest. Yet people that love BK will be dumbfounded as to why people don't like him.

BK getting $100M regardless of how his tenure ends. Long way for Nick to go to claim a “brighter” future. BK has generational wealth his family is set.

Zero percent chance you have ever met the man to know what kind of guy he is.

Ambushed? This is common practice and in both parties' best interest.

Plenty of reports and film on him to figure it out.

One thing to remember. Revenue sharing is coming. And LSU and all other teams need to transfer 20% of their budget from wherever it was spent this past year to the athletes.

I judge people by their actions. If the statement is accurate that he didn't even have the decency to fire a former 4-year LSU letterman to his face, that's a real low move.

It also won't sit well with former players, which is ironic given what Nick's position was.

Ruffin is awful to listen to. He’s such a fraud who pretends to have info. He’s always wrong.

What makes you think because he's a great young man and former LSU player he was coming into work daily and doing a great job? Frank Wilson is the recruiting coordinator, how do we know this wasn't soley his decision.

You don’t live in the real world and clearly have no experience to understand what you’re suggesting is the dumbest shite.

What does decency have to do with it? Our football ops is a nearly a billion dollar business. Kelly is the CEO of it. Brosette and Stevens were 100% not directly reporting to Kelly. I’m sure it was their direct boss and the hr rep in the meeting. That’s how businesses run. Plant Managers, CEO, Board directors or whatever else top boss you can think of are very rarely if ever in meetings when they are firing someone.

As far as sitting well with former players, it’ll be fine. We need boosters more than former players right now with the NIL. Most of those players are going to rep LSU no matter what and really only Booger or Clark would call out Kelly. Booger wouldn’t be too harsh and who gives a shite what Clark says, he wanted Mel Tucker for the job. The guy that got fired for jerking it on the phone with a rape survivor.

There is absolutely no point trying to logically explain anything to that moron. He will not miss an opportunity to shite on BK. Everything he does is bad. All simply bc he took his boyfriend's job.

This same moron will then turn around and tell you everything is perfectly fine with the basketball team. He gets a hard on for shite coaches.

LSU athletics isn’t a mom and pop operation. At big corporate layoffs, HR and lawyers handle that. Sometimes they even bring in specialist to let you go.

Man a lot of people in this thread must’ve only worked at mom and pop establishments.

Always the employee never the employer. If any of these people had experience, they’d know this situation was handled like every large business handles layoffs.

Correct, whoever this meeting was with is the one who fired him. I’d imagine he gave that person control of personnel

He received a text this morning requesting a 10:30am meeting. Nick thought the meeting was to go over the game plan/strategy for the Spring but was thrown off when an HR representative was also present for the meeting (Ambushed).
