I'll never understand why Jay Johnson hates the bunt so much. No outs and runners on 1st and 2nd with a sub .220 hitter and down one...someone please make it make sense to me

They would have walked Crews to load the bases w one out which is what happened regardless

They will cut to these clips during the NCAA tourney.

That will just be so devastating.

Not necessarily. Bunting puts the ball in play and opens up other possibilities.

This team gets by on overwhelming talent but they’ve shown the last couple of weeks they haven’t improved much fundamentally from last season

I really can’t point to any “little thing” that we do well.

We don’t steal bases, we don’t take extra bases on dirt balls…

On defense we don’t do anything special to help out the pitcher either

Because Pearson is a favorite. Gives us a professional at bat.

A low 200 hitter with an aluminum bat against south land conf pitching with a professional at bat.

You do know we don’t use no.1 pitcher for mid week games. We throw our stand by. We played without Morgan and Tommy

NSU played well and deserved to win. They didn’t pitch all their best either. They wanted it more and made some incredible catches.

LSU was not fundamentally sound tonight and it bore fruit.

Baseball can be a humbling, red assing game.
Never take anything for granted.

That was the best defensive game I've ever seen at the Box vs LSU.

Pearson is pretty good at it and has a little speed too.

I think we should bunt more at times, but I was 100% okay with Pearson swinging there.

Great teams don't play screw up games like tonight! Pathetic! Great teams have depth, players that can step in and play above average baseball.

What I saw was a southland conference team that was waaaay more athletic than LSU.

We shall see how this plays out as the season progresses.

Merrifield has to make that ball go thru. Classic frick up with the bases loaded and 1 out.

They are #1 in the Southland conference..... Also, Tre and Tommy didnt play. Calm down

The Southland is absolutely terrible this year.

Did you see the numbers for the arms they threw tonight?

LSU has no business losing to a team of that caliber.

Sure. But if in the last 12 minutes, two separate players don't whiff on a cutoff throw and we don't get make a huge baserunning error, that was a sac fly and we win the game. It can be two things.

That was a great play AGAIN by that SS and you’re blaming Merrifield? Nah man.

It does mean something because if you can not do it right in a midweek game u will not do it when it counts. It’s bullshite the base running mistakes we make

Well if he doesn't make the catch of his life both Dugas and Merrifield score as long as Merrifields dumbass doesn't pass up Dugas which he did.
