I get to Coors Field a few times a year. Always good to see former Tigers doing well.

I had the opportunity to meet DJ a couple of years ago. We talked more about Louisiana, LSU, and cajun food more than we did about Rockies baseball. Very nice young man who is representing LSU vey well in the Mile High City.

DJ hit a 3 run jack in the bottom of the 8th to propel the Rockies to a 11 - 6 W over the DBacks.

He has turned himself into a great MLB hitter. He looked like a utility player early in his career. His splits still tend to say that playing in Coors helps him, but whatever works as long as he keeps starting.

That was a bomb to the deepest part of Coors Field.

I'm really pulling for the Rockies to make a wild card run this year

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think they have the pitching to carry them to the playoffs.

I hope you're wrong too, but those are my thoughts as well. Nice walk off win today.

Ill be seeing him in August at Coors. Usually hit a few games there every year when the Cubs come in.
