“I really like Jayden Daniels,” one NFL scouting source told On3. I like the upside and the way he finished last year as opposed to the way he started. I think he’s got a lot of talent and a lot of upside.”

“I think he does (have first round traits),” an NFL scouting source said. “If you take his three or four best games from this past year, I probably think he’s a little bit better than (former Tennessee star and Detroit Lions third-round pick) Hendon Hooker, honestly. The scheme is better for Hooker in terms of numbers and production, but some of the stuff that Jayden Daniels does I think translates (better). I think quarterback coaches are going to like this guy. I think scouts are going to like this guy.“

Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama stretch of the season last year showed us how good he can be. Hopefully he replicates that for a full season which I think he will

Jayden Daniels is so close to being insanely good.

If he can just pull the trigger his numbers will explode.

He hesitates and it’s a killer in 3 ways:

1. All his deep routes outrun him.
2. A lot of his carch and run routes, slants, Crosses etc are behind so the WR either doesn’t make the catch or the defender is there to make the tackle/deflection
3. Sacks

And you can see he throws to the right guy often but it’s not at the right time.

So if he can fix that, his numbers will take off.

And he is legit fast. So the running game is there too.

sky is the limit for jayden if he learns to pass the ball down field and get off the bus in temps below 45 degrees.

He could have a career like Jacoby Brissett or Russell Wilson

If he develops the confidence to throw the ball down the field in one v one situations , his productivity will explode. I chalk up much of last year to getting use to better coverage. The windows he saw last season were smaller that what he saw at Arizona St. He has the confidence to drill it into tight coverage in the slants, digs, outs. Last year he needed to SEE separation downfield before he pulled the trigger. This year, he needs to trust that his guy will create separation or throw to the leverage side to create the separation himself. Joe Burrow was the master at throwing a guy open. If Daniels learns to do that , this offense can be explosive.

I’d take him over CJ Stoud in a second based on intangibles especially if he grabs his balls and gets the ball down the field for his playmakers.
He has a nice arm when he remembers it’s connected to his shoulder.

Just need consistency

He could be so Jekyll/Hyde last year

Practically unstoppable against Florida/Ole Miss/Bama to anthony jennings level bad against Arkansas/Auburn. Really frustrating at times.

This can't be true, I was assured my multiple on here that he would go undrafted and never play a down in the NFL.

His confidence is the biggest question mark. He had the talent and arm strength but didn’t trust himself to make the throws. That’ll be the biggest question mark.

Nuss has over confidence and will just rip it. Jayden got rattled by throwing off or almost picks and just ran it too much. If he can let our guys go get it, he’ll dominate. With Nabers, BTj, Lacy, and Mason Taylor, he has NFL talent all around him to throw the ball too as well as a nfl bound oline.

NFL is a copy cat league right? Everybody now wants a Lamar Jackson or a Jaylen Hurts. See Anthony Richardson going top 5. WTAF? They're drafting athletic ability and physical potential.

I think Daniels has a chance to in the 1st if he stays healthy and shows a little more decisiveness in his downfield passing. Someone will take that chance.

I love him as our QB in college. I just dont see him working out in nfl. Hope he does though!

Feels as though he is closer to Tebow than Hurts when it comes to passing.

Not possible. The Rant has hated our second best single season quarterback ever from the beginning.

That was probably after the Arkansas, T A&M, and Georgia Games.
Past performance is no guarantee of future.
I thought he was getting the ball out of his hands pretty good in the SEC Championship. Also in the Spring game. Maybe he has matured as a QB.
Fla St will tell the tale.
